Fun Stuff To Do With Boring Manga

Postby panegryst » Wed Jul 14, 2004 6:10 am

Accidentally bought bad manga? Got a few copies of 'Magical Girls' lying around 'cause they were cheap? Don't throw them away, you can do lots of stuff with them!

  1. Wallpaper your room!
  2. Use as wrapping paper!
  3. INSTANT COLORING BOOK!!!
  4. White-out the dialogue and add your own!
  5. Draw mustaches on all the characters (this one gets old fast.)
  6. Cut out the panels and rearrange them to make a BRAND-NEW ADVENTURE!
  7. Cut out the panels, put magnets on the back and put them on your fridge! Just like those poetry magnets, but mangalicious!
  8. Draw long hair and skirts on bishounen for instant bishoujo!
  9. Draw those X things -> :stressed: on everybody! (More fun than it sounds.)
  10. Three words - FREE TOILET PAPER
"Reason is the Devil's harlot."
-Martin Luther

I'll stand for nothing less
Or never stand again
-Chevelle, 'The Clincher'

Yeah, it would be fun to go through and color them all. ^_^ I have a few mangas that weren't as good as I had hoped, but I have yet to buy any ones I can't stand.

I prefer selling bad mangas.

Heh, my friend actually did the coloring one. And even if it's not a boring manga, she's just too... something to leave certain things alone. Like draw in eyeballs for blank stares in Garasu no Kamen (glass mask).

Free toilet paper is what I'm talking about.:thumb: Besides I can't think of any better place for dirty or just plain bad manga than in a sewer.

I don't believe in destroying manga, but coloring sounds fun. *Looks at Demon Diary manga* hehe

new idea: mini-posters for, say, school lockers...? say, tear off the covers and tape them up somewhere

Wow ... the thought of destroying manga is messing with my head! (Says the girl who ripped out a page of pointless nudity from a Lodoss manga without hardly thinking about it ... ;))

This is fairly off topic, but I've been known to butcher scannelations. The worse the manga, the more humorous it can become. No, I've never saved it, but it amuses for a brief moment.

more ideas:

1) papier machie (how do you spell "muh-shay"?! @#!& French!) statues of, say Eva Unit 01!! do it for art class! confuse everyone!

2) wallpaper!

3) wrap gifts

4) book covers! (I like this one. we have to cover our books for school, so on the front of my English book I have a picture of Nono from Top Wo Nerae! 2. On the back is a picture of some pop idol wearing a t-shirt that says, "I Love Bicycle Messengers and Beer". I got both pictures out of a Japanese issue of Newtype magazine. my teachers are... confused.)
