Waterdeep

Have any of you heard a band called waterdeep?

I started listening to them during my DTS (discipleship training school) in worship songs they did with 100 portraits. I wanted to find more of their stuff later, and I realized that they were actually the most honest Christian band I'd ever heard... They didn't gloss over life, they showed it for what it is... They told the sad stories and shared the frustrations and did exactly what songs were meant to do, but they also showed the hope they had in Jesus... If you're tired of Christian artists not being honest, you may want to try out waterdeep. Some songs to get you started I recommend

18 Bulletholes (Sink or Swim, Live at New Earth)
Hardened (Sink or Swim)
Walls and Tall Shadows (Everyone's Beautiful)
To chase away the Birds (To chase away the birds)
Everyone's Beautiful (Everyone's Beautiful)
Everybody's Guilty (It's on Sink or swim, but the best version is one they did live and it's not on any albums, so you gotta look for it... elseware)
Razor Light (To chase away the Birds)

I have two, and just orderd two... Their songs have helped me through some really hard times and I'm really thankfull they are around. If you are going through hard times, you may want to try some music that doesn't lie to you and tell you now you're a christian all your problems go away, and doesn't give you nickel responses either. Waterdeep is great and powerfull music.

i heard of the city of waterdeep.
I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

Hmm... I should have expected that from this group...

Anime And Roleplaying games seem to go hand in hand, don't they?

In anycase, you should check out this band... They are great.

They have worship stuff (mostly with 100 portraits) but it's their OTHER songs I wanted to point out... Anyhow, yeah... You should listen...

I've heard of them. They're not bad, just not my favorite. Although I like what I've heard of To Chase Away the Birds. My boyfriend really likes them, and sometimes he listens to them. Otherwise I'd probably never have heard them.

If I remember correctly, they were a "one hit wonder" on my local station. After that, I never really thought much of them. Does the girl have sort of a shrill voice? *tries to remember*

One hit wonder? They don't have songs on the radio, really... They are all about their concerts and they have like 11 albums or something.

It is sorta underground, but you should all check them out...

As for the "shrill Voice" I don't know exactly what you mean... I sorta compare her to the girl from "The Cranberries" or maybe "Boa" (the Brittish one, not the Korean one) but I find similarities in the weirdest things...

She has a low female voice, not Bass but not sopprano(sp?) I don't know the names, maybe has a bit of a whisper to it. I like her voice.

They are currently with Squint, the same publishing company that owns "Sixpence none the Richer"

I'm including samples of both of their singing (husband and wife) so you know what they sound like... The real beauty lies in lyrics and these samples don't show much of that. Not all their songs are this mellow either. This sample is just to let you know what their vocies sound like.

Yeah, she does remind me of the girl from the Cranberries. I think I'll look into this band .. Oddly enough, one of my co-workers was buying a Waterdeep cd today.
