The Hardest Game

Postby TheMelodyMaker » Sat Aug 23, 2003 9:06 am

What is the most difficult game (or one of the most difficult games) that you've ever played?

For me, one of the toughest I've played would be Yu-Gi-Oh: Forbidden Memories. It relies too much on chance, and there are too many card fusion combinations to remember. (That's why I cheat with the GameShark by giving myself all the cards. But even then it starts getting tough near the end.)

Ummm.... Well, currently... it's Warcraft III: the Frozen Throne, online and off. Even though it's freaken' hard, the missions are still awesome!

Hmm. The hardest game I've ever played, or beaten?

Probably Shogo MAD on the toughest level. On level 1 it's simple. By the time you get to 'respawn' kinda modes, it's near impossible.

It's also arguably my favorite game!

Diablo II is really hard...Alone. But if you have like 30 other people its easy. Even if you hack like mad, it's tough.

Mind if I go old school? Capcom's Ghosts 'n Goblins series is insanely hard, especially the first one. That red gargoyle is especially tough. I love that series.

They're all pretty difficult (so is the gargoyle in the arcade version as well).

Well, I was talking about the Ghosts 'N Goblins series in general. Here is a list of the games to make it easier. As was said before, they are all extremely hard.

Here are the games in the series:

Ghosts 'n Goblins: First game in the series. It appeared on NES, GB (in an easier, but still excellent version), in the arcades (the original), and on various older computer systems like Commodore 64.

Ghouls 'n Ghosts: Second game in the series. Also originally an arcade game. There is a very good port for the Genesis. New additions include a sword weapon, special gold armor, and the ability to aim straight up.

Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts: Third game in the series. Unlike the other two, it was not originally an arcade game. However, like the others, it is still insanely difficult. The ability to aim straight up is gone, but there is a new green armor (that can be upgraded to the gold armor that can use weapon magic) that powers up weapons. The new double jump makes up for the lack of aiming weapons straight up. Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts is on SNES, PSX (Japan only), Saturn (I think, also Japan only), and GBA (with some new remixed versions of levels from previous games).
