I've been around for a while, but I've never formally introduced myself. Kinda rude, I know. I apologize.

I’m using the format UC used for his intro a long time ago. Hope that’s OK, UC. Let me know if I owe you any royalties.

Name: Termyt. (Yes – it sounds like the insect)

Hey Termyt,

It’s nice to meet you.
I hope you are enjoying your stay here.

See you around,

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Nah, it's okay. If that is rude then I should be kicked out of society! o_O I still haven't done one of these!

It's nice to know more about you, you big teddy bear! ^_^;

Maybe I'll go make one of these, now.

I later realized that there was a welcome area :eyeroll: hehehe, thats me a little slow for yah... Anyway I figured I wasn't really all that new after that. but I guess you can always introduce yourself...

Greetings Termyt. Mere Christianity is a great book. Ever read any other C. S. Lewis?

I've read the Chronicles of Narnia and the Screwtape Letters. Plus an essay/speach or two.

How about y'all? Any other C.S.Lewis fans out there?

I haven't read the Great Divorce. I'll have to give it a look. Thanks, Shhoby.

Hi Sam*ron. I've seen you around the boards a lot, but I've never greeted you.

Well, I'm afraid my answer is obvious - The Lion, The Witch, and the Wordrobe, but I really liked The Hores and His Boy as well.

How about you?

My favorite is The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader.(sp?) It was a very good book. C.S Lewis is a good writer. :P

Yep. That was a good one, too. What can I say, I liked them all. I also liked how the Magician's Nephew kind of tied things together.

Hi Rachel, thanks for coming.
*Whacks Rachel with a foam baton*

You haven't read them all but you've read the last one? That's an odd approach, not that the order is all that important in the Chronicles.

Hehe... this thread is very funny. *puts on a helmet in fear of getting whacked* Well, it's cool to get to know you a little better, Termyt. I also enjoy C.S. Lewis. I've only read the Chronicles of Narnia (minus the voyage), but I've been meaning to read through his other works. My favorite might be either the last battle or prince caspian or the silver chair. I'm not very decisive when it comes to favorites. *grabs a cookie*

Definitely read Mere Christianity. IMHO, it's a must read for all Christians.
*Pokes Syreth in gut with baton*

And I will give great divorce a look. I really like is books, but there’s still a lot I haven’t read. Oh, if there were only more time in a day.

*Attempts to whack Swordguy*
*Swordguy parries! Cutting foam baton in twain*
