Wow! My mom's the exact opposite. E rated games all the way, except for select T ones. My Dad doesn't care though. I have to tell him "no" on a lot of games  He doesn't like playing games, but he sure does have an interest in the violent ones

My parents never cared what I played. They know I know right from wrong and that playing a videogame is not gonna change that.

My parents don't play a lot of video games. When I first got my NES, my mom would play Super Mario Bros., but that is the extent of her console gaming experience. Nowadays, my mom only plays Majjong and Solitaire (mostly Solitaire) on the computer. To my knowledge, my dad has never played a video game. Then again, I doubt that he has time.

I"m a mom and I play video games. Let's see:

NES - Mario series, Ninja Gaiden and Megaman series. Ninja Gaiden was my favorite ^__^
N64 - Goldeneye, I won Diddy Kong Racing twice - I love racing games, Worms Armageddon, I would stay up with this one
Dreamcast - Crazy Taxi, again it's a driving game
PC - Sims, I like to build the houses and then I just let the people die off. XDXD
GBC - Tetris DX, I play this everyday at least once, Pokemon Blue, I had some awesome Pokemon at one time
PS2 - Driver 2, I won the levels, Burnout 2, won all the cars. I love driving games and I think most parents do, Agent Under Fire - JB game, and I want to play Driver 3, but my kids hog the TV my PS2 is hooked up to. T_T

I think its neat that parents play video games. I'm not obsessed with them. I used to be obsessed with Ninja Gaiden, Worms Armageddon and Driver 2, but not anymore.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

My dad and I nearly beat Halo together.

We would have beaten it were it not for my crappy Warthog driving skillz. We never got off the Pillar of Autumn at the end. We once played til 3 AM.

Mom used to play Mario Kart 64 with me (we played Battle mode), but she kept getting stuck into a wall and bonking repeatedly into it, not moving anywhere.

The sad thing is that she would beat me soundly at it because I would have so many green shells bouncing around that I eventually hit three of my own shells.

Neither of my parents care about video games. They never played them in their youth (although their younger siblings did) so they don't really understand the craze. In fact my mom was reluctant at first to even let us buy a gaming console!

My dad actually asked me once to let him play SSBM with me and my brother, and this is how it went:

Dad: What's going on? What do I do?!?
Me: Just hit buttons! Attack people!
Dad: But I don't know who I am!
Brother: You're Mario.
Dad: I want a different guy!
Me: Watch out! You're running off the edge!
Dad: Ah! My controller's shaking!!!
Me: It's supposed to do that!
Dad: It won't stop shaking!
Me: -_-

When I was younger, my Mom didn't want me and my brother to get a video game console because she thought we'd spend all our time on it (eh heh...not entirely true. I go online, too!). But then my parents got us an N64 for Christmas. I was so shocked I burst into tears! XD

Now-a-days, my parents aren't big gaming people, but sometimes my Dad will watch us play. My parents played Animal Crossing with us for a while. That's the most recent game that my parents have played, though.

I think my Dad used to like Donkey Kong a lot.
