Are we talking about the original or the sequel here?

Well anyway Assasin, Kilik, and Yoshimitsu, Mitsurugi. I tend to just switch between those I don't like just limiting myself to one character.

In terms of the sequal, on Gamecube that would be Link, but overall around it's Xianghua. I also can speedily win with Kilik...button mashing...button mashing...heh.

Lol yeah it would be cool.

I just love having tournaments with my cousins. I remember once my cousin Joe who uses almost nobody but Nightmare was beating the crap out of the five of us playing. Then my little cousin Maggie who's 10 picks up the controller and proceeds to beat the snot of out of him with Talim, 3-0. Oh man we never let him forget that.

I tend to play Ivy, Talim, and Xianghua. Occasionally, I will take a break with Kilik.
Find me on Steam, PlayStation Network (OmegaAmen), Backloggery, Twitter, and Twitch.tv

I am also in the Christian gaming group, Tribe of Judah in the Christian Gamers Alliance.

I prefure to specialize in one or two charicters and just have basic skill with the rest, that way when you play agenst people who don't play as much as you do, you can use someone and still have compedative fun. that being said, Raphael rules all hands down :thumb:

Ah, Soul Calibur 2! I love that game! Yet, the only time I play it is when friends are over (or vice versa)... I think the computer AI is dull and the real major flaw of the game.

Anywho…

Mostly I pick a random fighter I'm good at... I don't really have a favorite list... just a good and bad list...

Bad:

Astaroth - meh, ok slow character
Berserker - sloooooww
Charade - pointless
Ivy - I can never get that sword/whip to work
Taki - meh, I can do ok, but not to well
Voldo (Full moon) -can we say: Wierded out! O_o

Good:

Raphael (Queen's Guard) - Way to cheap and newbies looks cheap using him, but still I rock with this character.

Nightmare - (Glam) - Kinda' cheap character, but you don't look cheap.... all in all, great fighter

Mitsurugi - (Masamune) this might be my best-skill based fighter, he flows well between moves so well that it's easy to make a “perfectâ€

I like Seung Mina, Sophitia, or Yunsung (or as I like to call him, Hwoarang XD)

I can kick some serious buttock with Yunsung. *hugs the command list*

(still...I think I like Tekken 4 better >.> lol)

I'm pretty good with Nightmare and his nice shiny blue Soul Calibur. Speaking of Soul Calibur...I've lost track of mine. Haven't played since like January.

I prefer using Talim, Kilik, or Yoshimitsu. However, my sister can beat me with Sophitia or Raphael everytime. Ugh.....Link's ok. Not a fave of mine though.

My favorite thing to do is try to beat my friends with every character one after another, so I usually don't stick with just one or two. Other than that, I like to play random characters, because it shows your overall skills in the game rather than your best with a single character. In other words, I prefer broad-based knowledge of the games rather than specialization.

However, if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Mitsurugi. He has the best balance between speed, power, range, and combo ability. I also like the weird and/or difficult-to-master characters, such as Astaroth, Voldo, and Yoshimitsu. I am also partial to Nightmare (Siegfried costume only, carrying over from SC1 ;) ) and Necrid.

I only have the PS2 version, so I haven't had much experience with Link or Spawn; although I can still school my Gamecube-loving friends if they insist that we play that version  .

Ivy and Xianghua. They are the best for me. But I think the best for complete random button mashing, is MAXI!! *huaa-yaaaa!!* I got second place with him to beat arcade mode in fastest time. ^o^

In Soul Calibur(dreamcast) i used to use Weapon master as my charicter because of his randomness, but I truely dislike being good with everyone, you can always have a certain amount of skill just because you know how to blow redirect , and counter, thats always there, but i dont want to learn every combo with every person. it takes the fun out of it when playing your friends.

I looked for weapon master in 2, but all they had was charade... and he's ugly. so i dont like him. Oh lizardman was my best guy in the first game, they changed him a bit wich frustraited me, but he's still an awsome charicter.

Yah, that’s basically what I try to do when I play with people I know I can beat.
My best character is Mistarugi, however I find he doesn’t have a lot of good ‘knock-back’ moves, so I tend to swap out in ‘weapon mastery’ mode when I get to those challenges that require you to ‘Ring Out’ the opponent or throw them against a wall.

Number 2 on my list is Talim. I like her speed, and her SoulCalibur makes her all but invincible.

My wild card would be Maxi… I know your all probably rolling around on the floor laughing, but despite his rather short reach, he has some really fluid moves. It’s so easy to link from one combo to another or switch it around in the middle. Coupled with his decent speed and simple move list, Maxi rivals even Bruce Lee with those Num-chucks of his. ]
I like Seung Mina, Sophitia, or Yunsung (or as I like to call him, Hwoarang XD)
[/quote]
 Hwoarang! That’s just what I thought!
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.
