I am called Erenan. Some have known me as Eineran, Ernierian, Iton, Myrrwyn, and even occasionally Ernie. I am a Guitar Robot. I don't really know exactly what that means, but I do enjoy playing guitar quite a bit. Robert Fripp was the inspiration for my programming, and it is truly a blessing to follow the path of such an extraordinary talent.

Okay, this is too silly.

I like the arts, especially music, prose, and poetry. I much favor composition over performance, and actually I'm generally pretty furtive with my composition as well. So it's quite rare that people get to hear my music. And my prose and poetry are typically not quite of the same level of quality as my music, though that doesn't stop me from trying. Maybe one of these days I'll post something in the Writing forum.

St. Peter is a good friend of mine, which has been a real blessing. We went to high school together, and we still hang out from time to time. Of course, I'm just taking advantage of him to use his stuff. In fact, I have some tupperware that I need to return to him. ;) I'm just kidding, man. :P

Let's see... what else is there to say about myself?

...

I like pizza. I like raisins. I've never tried raisins on pizza, though I can't imagine it would taste very good. I like the way raisins blend with cream cheese on a bagel. That's one of the finest things in life. Cinnamon raisin bagels, lightly toasted with cream cheese.

Oh! I intend to live at least 300 years. It just seems that ancient superbeings have gone out of style, and I'm hoping to bring them back. Anyway, if I do that, I might start trying to look evil and angry all the time again, which is something I stopped doing when I accepted Christ, so maybe it isn't such a good idea. Nah, I think I'll be a jolly and friendly superbeing. It'll really make the kids laugh when I go like this: :dizzy:

I like progressive concept albums a lot. That's another of the finest things in life. I'm working on one about a guy who sails from home in his state-of-the-art multi-purpose battle vessel to defeat the legendary Shell Lord once and for all. It's mostly high energy progressive metal with measures consisting of a prime number of beats. 7:8, 19:16, 23:16, whatever suits my fancy.

Greatest piece of music ever written (a claim of extreme hyperbole): Beethoven's 32nd piano sonata

I guess that's enough for now.

*snicker* Did ya' buy that at a Tupperware party, Peter?

Welcome, Erenan. I like your names. Are any of them Celtic?

I do not like raisins. But I'll try to get along with you anyway. *trying not to think of Raisin Pizza*

Oh yes, and good luck with your purported longevity.

I don't think so. I simply made up the names Erenan and Myrrwyn. Eineran and Ernierian simply came from people running away with a gag that involved my name being misspelled. Iton came from plugging Eineran into a German translator website. And I don't know anything about the name Ernie. That one was just a nickname for Erenan.

Why thank you very much. :)

well if you are 300 years old. hi im kai brightwing and im only 224 years and having fun nice to meet a young person like you.
I n September of 2012 Megaroad-01 was launched with an escort of fleet of zentraedi warships. From that point on the mass-production of the Megaroad -class colony ship began and soon long-range colony fleets were routinely being launched from earth solar system at a rate of 1-2 per year.
In September of 2022 Megaroad-19 colony ship with it’s escort fleet left earth and headed south fifteen degrees to the right of the southern star. On a mission with three objection; One to search for a planet to colonize, two to see what the rim of the galaxy looks like, three to see if any zentraedi fleets are out there. On July 21, 2025 Megaroad-19 entered its ninth star system and named it the sierra system.
Orbiting the third planet is an asteroid that was some ten miles in size, and a moon that was named Karla.

I'm confused now. Wow. So he's not here anymore, Cephas?? Well, this whole thread has been a bit of a joke, but just in case I want to make myself look foolish or this isn't a joke, what instruments do you play, Erenan, if you compose? And if you can, do post something in the Writing section. And yeah, what anime do you like? Thanks for the introduction, and nice to meet you!

Wow! People responded to my thread after I left? Well, I have to respond then. Time for a brief quote frenzy.

I am very not French.

Cephas wrote:*sigh*

Wish you were still here, man.
Yeah, so do I.:(

Cephas wrote:(No, he's not dead! Not that I know of, anyway.)
I'm not dead... I think. :eyebrow:

Cephas wrote:He's one of the few people who find my crap funny.
That's because it's hilarious.

Cephas wrote:It's way late for this, but I got my tupperware back.
Oh, good. I wasn't sure.

Cephas wrote:Knowing Erenan, he's not kidding.
I wasn't.

Well, as far as series go, I suppose that would be Trigun, mostly just for the premise behind Vash the Stampede as a character and for the awesome sci-fi western setting. I liked Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away an awful lot too.

cbwing0 wrote:Nice avatar. :thumb: Did you make it yourself?
I did, except that I did not personally take the photograph of Keith Emerson.

There has been no joke. Except for the following:

What is brown and sticky?

A stick!

I play electric and acoustic guitar, piano, and cello. At a seminar, I played three Chapman Sticks over the course of two days (one of them was signed by the legendary Tony Levin), and if I could afford it I would buy one because they're awesome. I tried playing clarinet for some four months, but I gave it up thanks to embouchure and reed difficulties. Maybe one day I'll try flute. I can sort of play a drumkit. Sort of. I like singing. I can snap my fingers pretty well. I'd like to take up vibraphone if I can.

I do compose. As I said in the other post, mostly high energy progressive rock and metal. I've been trying to compose orchestral music a bit, and I've been dabbling in composing game music inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics.

Kokhiri Sojourn wrote:And if you can, do post something in the Writing section.
Do you mean music or prose? Would I post music in the Writing section or in the Jam Session section?

I wonder if I can get this guy posting again. He may only stick around the Jam Section, but who knows.
