Niehaus' Intro

Postby Niehaus » Wed Jun 16, 2004 3:56 pm

Yo, name's Niehaus. Anywho, I'm a big anime forum goer, so I figured why not join this one? Uhh... let's see... anyway... introduction...

I'm a college freshman, I've been watching anime since I was in 3rd grade, I game a lot too. Favorite series are probably (in order) Macross 7, Blue Gender (pre Americanization), Eva, Sexy Commando, Onegai Teacher... well... basically ANY anime I like... those are my favs though. About 5 years ago I became involved in our local anime club, one of the largest in Wisconsin. Since then, I've been elected to publicity chair. Someone on our forum found out about this so I figured to check it out. As I said before, not a religious person at all, but oh well.

I'm gonna go play some Vampire: The Masquerade right now with some of my buddies... I'll keep workin' on this later.

Update: I'm an agnostic (basically an atheist who acknowldeges that there COULD be a god) now. Actually gave some thought to the whole religion thing and realized that I didn't actually "believe" persay. I do believe in a spirit type force, as I occasionally have dreams that come true with 100% accuracy and the only way to explain that is through the supernatural. I suppose it could fall into the scientific realm of time travel, but all that is is speculation at best, and while my mind does work faster than I'd like it to, I doubt that it works faster than the speed of light.

はじめました. (Hajimemashita.)

Tell us a little more about yourself, and why you consider yourself a 'technical' Catholic.

I'm curious as well. I don't think of people as "Big" Christians--like a person being "into" being a Christian. There are just those who have been in the faith for a while, and those who are newly learning.

Well... basically... I'm Catholic, but I never attend mass... and I never really do anything too religious aside from my nightly bit of prayer and what not. I mean, I believe in god and what not, but it's not like I spend all my time thinking about religion... my life's hectic enough as is. I also have a few split views from the majority of the Catholic church... views that would take me hours (that I don't have right now) to explain.

ah--I understand your comment now. thank you for clarification. I do know the doctrinal stuff can be frustrating.
