Total Newbie/Fan!

Postby cocolove » Tue Aug 05, 2003 1:51 pm

Hi There! I am a fan of anime, and I'm probably the newbiest newbie you'll ever meet. I don't know the names of the shows or the characters or what they do and stuff, I just know that I love the art and the time it takes to do these things...just like music (I'm a musician). I also LOVE JESUS, and I am glad to have found this place. I'll probably be lurking about, learning more, and I have a couple of other posts here regarding a project I'd like to do, but that's second to the art I have found here.

Just know that it's truly a pleasure to meet you all. Drop in and give me a shout sometime!! :)

Hello. It's nice to meet you too. So what instrument do you play?

People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Pretty good :) although you can just say "Doozo yoroshiku" around here, we're not that formal!

If you really want to be mega-formal, you could say "onegai itashimasu" ... but I'm not a native speaker either.

Only partially. I'm writing a CAA Triple Triad card game, (at least I'll be back on that when I finish the reviews database) and there WILL be a set of cards. In fact, I think gypsy is doing the pics for them, too. Of course, everyone's cards will be free, but that's beside the point. I'll be sure to post to everyone when the game is ready.

Welcome, cocolove!
You write dance music? Cool! Is it Christian dance music?

And a percussionist to boot! I used to play percussion back in HS and one year of college. Pretty much marching, concert, pep band. Quads in marching band and pep band, tympani (usually) in concert band. Now my brother's the percussionist in the family. He plays the set in a local band, which has actually put out a couple CD's and has gone on a couple mini-tours.

Hello! Nice to meet you, Spiritsword (I love your name...very cool).
Yep! It's Christian Dance Music.
If you like, you can check out the stuff on my MP3.com Website

I played drums in high school too! Snare drum, in fact. I was one of three girlies in a line of twenty snare drummers! It sure was fun...the guys treated us well :)

Before my conversion, I played in a Synthpop Band...totally like VNV Nation, Beborn Beton and Apoptygma Berzerk. Now, the Lord has called me to do His music.

I'm headed over there now. I'll let you know what I think.

Oh yeah, in HS I was kind of co-section leader with a girl. Actually our two best snare drummers were female! I preferred the quads the the snare, so I never wanted to switch over. ;)
