Yeah, they really rushed PoA, but if you've read the books, it's not all bad, just kind of fast, I wish they would swallow the pill and make it a long movie, but, ah well...

YAY!! It's official! I got advance tickets for the 12:30 showing of PoA at my local theater for tomorrow! Me and a bunch of friends are going and it's gunna be awesome (I hope. And, yeah, I DO know that I'm the biggest dork ever!).

You know, I thought it'd look stupid that I and several of my friends went to see it (you know, we're a little older than the target audience to say the least ) but I was stunned when more than half of the people were older than even we are. I'd say the majority were older than 25.

But about the movie, in my humble opinion it was the best HP movie yet.

I saw it Sunday night.

I only read the first HP book, and never saw the second movie, so I don't have the background that the rest of you probably do. But I thought it was a good movie. I'd buy it just to see the hippogriff again. ^_^ Wheeeee, that looked fun! And yes, I'm totally nuts.

I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids, because of some scary scenes. But it was quite entertaining.

That was SO not the case when I went, but I wish it had been! There were SO many little kids with their parents! Towards the end a baby started bawling!! And the little kids that were sitting behind me kept pulling my chair and kicking it and then they got scared towards the end and wouldn't be quiet! I read the books, so I knew what to expect, so it wasn't TOO bad that the movie was disrupted for me, but my friends had never read the books and I KNEW that they wouldn't understand what was going on if they couldn't hear the movie! I'm gunna have to go back and see it again (hopefully in the next week or so!)!

I saw it and by myself too...you don't know how so many parents looked at me weird watching a movie like Harry Potter at 10 in the morning. It was fun, a little darker than the past two, but nonetheless still good ol' fun. The time travelling parts later on, I could have done without though.

Oh and I had the same thing happen to me Thalia, not as bad but there were kiddies and they were crying, jumping around--it was like a kids zoo or something. *Scratches head*

Ooh, I don't know about the movie, but I loved the [button="spoiler"]time travel[/button] part in the book... I wish I had something like that... I'd use it a lot... I think you should spoilerize it, though.

I thought it was all right. There were a few casting problems (in my opinion), and I wish they didn't have to cut so much, but it was better than I expected. Oddly enough, though I liked Ron best in the first two movies, I think I may have liked Draco better this movie (perhaps because of all the trouble he makes/gets into.) Or it may have been the two Tom Felton nuts next to me being contagious. <.< >.> Anyone else feel that way?

I doo, Aka-chan. I haven't seen HP3 yet (going today!) but Malfoy has definitely grown on me from the movies. Ron is my all-time favorite character, though I admit I don't think Rupert Grint looks at all like his description in the book, he can pull of some hilarious facial expressions and lines. XD

If they have to cut so much for the first three movies, I wonder how they'll manage 4 and 5, with the books being as long as they are. O.O

Yeah, they actually were going to try and split the 4th book into two movies, but they didn't...I just don't know how they're gunna do it, though, with SO much material! I guess they'll just have to butcher the book and stick with the key points of the plot.

Went and saw it today... it's pretty good, though they really had to cut alot of details out of the movie, it makes me wonder what they're going to do with the 4th movie (they really need to do it as a 3 hour movie, though it's going to be rough on the younger ones).

I do have to say that this movie had one of the most original credits display at the end of the movie that I think I've ever seen... top rate job (please don't tell me I missed something at the end of this one too).

Yeah, the credits were cool-looking, and you didn't miss anything...Me and my friends stayed afterwards just to make sure there wasn't anything 'extra' and all there was was Harry's voice saying 'mischeif managed.'

I saw it the other day and enjoyed it. As with most movies, I didn't enjoy it as much as the book, and yes, there were things left out, but I still thought it was well done and an enjoyable movie. I was glad I went and saw it in the theater.

Yes! I finally saw it! I know they took alot out of it, buuuut they stuck very close to the main plot! And they added alot of funny stuff too it too. (like how one leaf fell off the womping willow, and then it shook off all the other leaves. I thought that was just hillarious!) And the Hippigriff part the looked so fun! I read the book first and it was a little confusing(the time travel part), but the moviue help me understand it. I thought it was great how the new directer twisted the time travel part through out the movie, then kind of reveled it closer to the end. Well my point is that I dont care how much they took out! I still thought it was the best Harry Potter monie yet, and I look foreward to the 4th one! *raises both hands lightning fast and cheers for Daniel Raddcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint*

What does everybody think of the dude playin sirius, I think he looks to comical

yah he was. i totally imagined him different, like more serious looking and a lil more meat on the bones, but not that much. did it take a lot out from the book cuz that's what i thought like the whole first phone call to harry. i was really looking forward to seeing and hearing that.

i luv hp! well i mean i don't bye all the murch and stuff but i luv the books and movies. but sadly #3 disappointed me. it wasn't as fufilling as the book.
