welcome to the anime insylum! we're crazy here so watch out.

I like the yugi oh manga better than the anime by far. Bakura just appered in the shonen jump, so its really getting interesting.

Well, God bless you while you're here, and I look forward to reading your posts!

Thank you! ^^ I'm happy to be here. Actually, I'm pretty crazy too :/ I'm afraid to read the manga because I heard that Bakura and Marik were gay o_O I was so broken-hearted when I heard about it ... Marik is my favorite character.

for some reason i highly doubt that. i dont thinkthey'd put something like that in SJ, but i my be wrong. Heck, peeps liek to say the cast from Gundam Wing are gay, but that's a lie. A freind of min proved that. He owns it.

Hi! Welcome to CAA! I am also a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan. My favorite characters are "Yami" Yugi, Joey / Jounouchi and Pegasus. Seto Kaiba is also intriguing, but he's a little too arrogant for my tastes.

And no, Bakura and Marik are not gay. The fans would like to think they are, but there's no evidence to indicate it.

spiritsword: Thank you very much *smiles*

ruroken: I heard it was in the japanese manga, not sj. Someone said it was in a comic called "Darker than Darkness" but I haven't been able to find it either. For some reason people like to think that all bishonens are gay :/ That reminds me, I haven't watched Gundam wing in a really long time. I remember I used to like Duo a lot ^.^

sman: Thanks for the warm welcome. Wow, you know that for sure? that's cool. I was freaking out for the longest time, thanks for clearing that up for me. I like Marik and Bakura/Yami Bakura. I agree, Seto is an interesting character. So, I guess you've read the Yu Gi Oh mangas then?

Marik is so cute ^^

SMan: C. S. Lewis is cool. I've heard a lot about him from several different people. I was thinking about buying one of his books.

Hey, does anyone know what anime that "Clef" guy is from? He's got whitish blue hair ... >.o I don't know his full name. I took this quiz once at Otaku.com, and it said that he is supposed to be my anime boyfriend XD haha. :P

4:05 am? ... it's only 11:08 pm. How do I fix this thing? >.<

Oh, I thought it meant a male with feminine qualities or features. Well, I still don't get it, if girls like Marik so much, why would they want him to be gay? I mean that just doesn't make sense :P

C. S. Lewis is cool. I've heard a lot about him from several different people. I was thinking about buying one of his books.

Yes, he is. If you haven't read any of his books, I strongly recommend starting with Mere Christianity. You should also read the Chronicles of Narnia. They're making movies out of the books soon, which look like they'll be good. The same company that did LOTR's special effects is working on those movies, or so I've heard.

So, I guess you've read the Yu Gi Oh mangas then?

Yeah, I've read the original Japanese scans (with translations), as well as some of the manga being that's being translated into English right now. I don't like the early mangas that much, since they're more violent and suggestive. It gets better once Duelist Kingdom starts, though, which I believe is Volume 8 or so.

Shao: Good point. I agree. ^_^

Sman: Ok, I'll be sure to check those books out. Hey, isn't "Chronicles ... ..." that really huge book with the animal heads on it? *laughs* I've never seen LOTR. My pastor says it's supposed to be symbolic in relation to Christianity. Except for the elves :/

I think I'm going to start reading the Yu-Gi-Oh manga ^___^

Angel chick: Thanks, I am. Yu-Gi-Oh is the best :/ *throws her boomerang and gets hit in the face* Ow! -_O

Welcome Kaizoku Aika. I have no idea what your name means or where it's from, but I think your avatar is great! I like Yu-Gi-Oh! - right now it's more of a guilty pleasure, because I get really tired of the excessively slow, drawn-out nature of the show, but I really like the concept. Just think they should pick it up quite a bit and vary the script more. I like the manga a lot also, but have only read Vols. 1 and 2, and I just recently subscribed to Shonen Jump, so there's a big hole in the middle somewhere. My favorite character is Pegasus, because he's really entertaining in his conversations and seems tempered in his evil nature, compared to the other baddies. I also like Ishizu and Mai, because they are more to the point than the painful Serenity and Tea, and at times also Yugi and Joey. But I really do like it. Watch it all the time. Anyway, I'm done writing so much. see you around. :brow:
