n00b has arrived!

Postby Xavier249 » Fri Jun 04, 2004 6:49 pm

okay, not so much a n00b to comps and such, but I am new to this website. I forget my friends user name who invited me but its got the word samurai in it. . . . hahahahahaha thats really helpful, ne?

I hope to get to know as many of you as possible. Also, good to see fellow Christians into Anime. First anime I ever saw was Vampire hunter D. that was 8 years ago. If I break out in other languages don't panic. I am taking spanish and japanese, plus I know a smattering of french from dabbling in it a month ago.

Odd question, What do you guys think of Catholics? and Who else likes .hack with almost as much passion as for the Lord?

Squirrels are nuts, does that make them cannibals?

Postby Xavier249 » Fri Jun 04, 2004 7:13 pm

hamsters of doom? Is that like my Gophers that bite and my Friends Black Squirrels of Death?? COOL!! Hey mom! look I found another lunatic! YAY!

Actually, yes I like Full Metal Panic! I have seen the first Season, and, aside from the occasional nudity, I enjoyed it.

Good to meet you Cute Cat! :) (that is kawaii and neko right?)

Hey thats cool! My Gophers that bite come from driving everyone nuts at a conference, I just kept saying the word gopher over and over all conference. By the time it was over, the guys either laughed uncontrollably or glared at me, everytime I said it. This is because I was now saying it automatically, and would say it absent mindedly. I still haven't fully broken that habit of saying it. I must have said it over 5000 times....

Ah! Now I see it. Kittens are soooo kawaii!
My akai kaze no samurai, should mean Samurai of the red wind. :)

Just to defuse this,

What do you guys think of Catholics?

Catholics are welcome here, as any other Christians would be, and we have a number of them. (Let's not make this a discussion about Catholicism -- you know who you are.)

Welcome, Xavier249! Nice ta meetcha!

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

Hi and welcome! =^_^=

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

It's from "Voices of A Distant Star," a short anime film that is one of my favorites. I think Gypsy did a review of it if you wanna see it, but it really is awesome, and only 25 minutes. I highly, highly recommend it, if you're into drama. I could tell you about the scene if you wanted, but that's where it's from. Those are the two characters, and really the only ones in the film - Mikako and Nobaru. I think I want to watch it now..... *runs off to the DVD player* *runs back to get on CAA longer* :brow:
