Hamha!

I just had to start this thread about one of the newest anime series, Hamtaro, since it looks like no one else has yet. It's just too cute and hilarious to be overlooked!

  :hits_self

Anyway, if you've got a favorite character/episode, comments or inside info to share, let's hear from you! (Possible spoiler warning: If you're not sure what it's all about, check out the official Hamtaro site for details.)

Ham Hams!

Lets see...favorite character... Jingle  he can never get Hamtaro's name right. "How's it goin' Hamjeero?" He is also overly laid back. gotta like that.

I watched it while babysitting for a friend of mine. I never knew that anime could be so...annoying. Please, give me back my Sailor Moon, I'll even tolerate ChibiUsa and altered charactors.

I've seen a few eps. of this anime and it is waaaaaay cute. Probably too cute to watch for long periods of time uninterupted, but I still liked it. Who can resist cute talking animals. :P I haven't seen enough of it to have a favorite character, plus I can't rememember all their names, but I have to say that my favorite hamham in real life is my hamster Shadow. She's so cute. I love da widdle fuzzy animals. lol

I like Oxnard. Go Oxnard! w00t.

So the plot in every episode is basically the same: Have fun and be cute. So what? It's still decent...Kind of....I don't watch it. Not on a regular basis, anyway.

Ok, now that was just disgusting. Y'know, if you don't like something, just say it. Please! Let's try to be a little mature here, ok?

Thank you, Ashley. I have an even better idea: if you don't like the show, don't even bother posting. I created this thread for fans of the show, not for the purpose of bashing it.

On a lighter note, which Ham-Ham are you? Take the quiz below that someone else referred me to! ^_^

Uh...
My bad!
I never really liked the show because at that time I judged a lot of anime because of it's art style. (I still do, but not as much as before)
And you know, Hamtaro's cutesyness was too much for me. I wanted to whatch something like Rurouni Kenshin or something.

But the real reason l don't like the show(excuse my shallownes) is because it looks like it's for little kids, you know. (please don't hurt me)

Ahhh! Preety please! :o

I'm sorry, Ed... maybe this was a little harsh. :red:

I am willing to tolerate some mature constructive criticism of the show, but there is a difference between that and being downright disgusting (that's the "bashing" I was referring to in my same post).

In other words... *points at Ash* ...what she said. ^_^

And by the way, I don't believe that anyone can be too old to watch a good cartoon--especially if it's good and clean for the whole family. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Look, we weren't joking when we said if you didn't like it not to post repeatedly. Point taken: CO doesn't like Hamtaro. No further expressions of this needed, ok?

Now that CO is gone, is there any way we can start this thread over? I meant it to be a fun and serious(?) discussion about the show but he came and ruined it... *sigh*

Just go ahead and say something nice about the series to get conversation flowing properly again, MelodyMaker...:)

Saffron Henderson provides both Hamtaro and Panda's voices. She has also done Goku in DragonBall, Gohan in DragonBall Z, and Lucrezia Noine in Gundam Wing.

I've decided that Laura's optimistic catch-phrase at the end of almost every episode ("Today was a great day, but tomorrow will be even better!") has truth to it. Every day that goes by is another step closer to the Lord's return; so each day that goes by actually is better than the last--despite how the world is going. Amen! ^_^

America is getting all mixed up with there anime. Anime series such as Gundam Wing is ment for 16+. But when it is relesed in america it is concired 7+. Hamtaro in America is aimed at 12+ (assuming, because they had it on Toonami). In Japan, It's for Pre-schoolers. Like, Tama & Friends.

hamtaro is for little kids... It's not bad for it's target audience. It's like "The Littles" or that gnome show or some other such show I watched when I was a kid... It's better than "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" in any case... I would love to show my kids (the ones I'm going to have) Hamtaro... And Blues Clues, but not teletubbies or Barney... Blues Clues is the bomb and it's actually, you know, educational for little kids... It goes in stages from just simple problem solving to reading and math. I want to buy every season on DVD for my kids when they come around... Oops, Off topic... Um, The hamtaro theme is just too cute (the Japanese one, I mean...) Those kids singing how much they love Hamutaro! So cheery and bouncy! "Daisuki nano wa!"

um... yeah... I wanna get married and have kids...
