I know they have done some strange things to her, but Spike X Rarity was solved in the second season. Spike doesn't spend any time googly eyeing her, therefore, Discord could not use that as a way to sway Twilight.

Granted, I think the possesing idea is cool, but it may be a little bit dark for a little girls' show.

Well, they also hinted at TwilightXSpike in Lesson Zero when instead of laughing at Twilight, he went to go get Celestia, and there's the whole thing where he makes googly eyes at her for getting her mane turned into Rarity's. Maybe that's just Hasbro's way of letting us know that it's somewhat there.

And yes, Twilight would say something like: "But you weren't taking things seriously last time, why now?" He would laugh and say: "Why? Twilight Sparkle, I'm the Master of Chaos. It isn't why, it's why not."

"Master of Chaos." He can be dark, he can have a light tone to his attitude. But you have to remember, he brainwashed the Mane Six, so I wouldn't think that he's above possessing them.

For everypony that's been out of the loop about the airtime of the wedding episode, like myself (although I might be the only one). This weekend is the bridle shower (I don't know if this will be aired). And next weekend will be both episodes of the wedding back-to-back. I never thought that they'd do that, so I never checked. But here it is for anypony that doesn't know yet, a full hour of new pony on the weekend of the 21st.

Edit:
I'm psyched to see the return of a background pony we haven't seen since season 1. Except for a Scootaloo centered episode, this was the one other thing to make this season complete. I really don't know what they're going to do to top season 2, but I'm excited to find out.

@Felix Are you going to enter the Canterlot Gardens PMV contest? I'm thinking of submitting something, but I probably won't start a project for it before June/July.

Unfortunately not, but we still get to have fun voting for our best wedding present EVER.
And next week... (wait for it) … THE FUN WILL BE DOUBLED! HUZAH!

Wow! So I didn't even realize it until I went to watch the next episode on my list... But, I finished the whole first season! Hah, wow. Shows how much I still have yet to learn about this show. XD

One, he probably just did that because it looked good on Twilight, and it reminded him of Rarity. Two, they have supposedly been very close friends for a long time. Ever since that episode, however, there was no hints to any such attraction. I doubt that the people who write MLP would actually do this, however. People can dream, though. I can agree with you on what she would say, now that I think about it. But I can't agree with you on the Spike X Twilight hints.

Yeah, EqD got to see the episode at the bridle shower. Lucky ponies. And as you read there may be spoilers lurking around the net because of the pre-screening, so be careful.

One of the activities at the shower, I really need to get some cake to eat while watching the episode.

And some officially released spoilers that appeared in the New York Times about Cadance and Shinning and the upcoming episode:
Apparently Shinning Armor, Twi's brother, is captain of the royal guards and he met Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, Cadance's full name, while foal-sitting Twilight! I just had to share that because that's some seriously amazing stuff, I'm just getting more and more hyped.
Nah, what I said here before was a dumb question now that I think about it. Sorry if I wasted your time, Bio. But anyways..

I watched The Last Roundup a few days ago, and man Applejack needs to take some lessons on representing the element of honesty. Seriously...

I'm still answering, because you know, I already typed it out :shady:
So far I've looked at all the official spoilers that was released by the hub for advertisement. And I have to say that it has only succeeded in making me more excited than ever, I don't feel that anything has been spoiled for me. Even the add in New York Times only have titbits of information that's driving the fandom crazy with anticipation. I am, of course, staying away from any unofficial leaks.

I felt the same way about 'The last roundup' and after some heavy discussion I've decided to look at this way: Applejack promised the citizens that she would fix town hall. If she came back without the winnings to do so she might feel that she was being dishonest towards the citizens, not to mention she wouldn't be the 'most dependable pony of all ponies'. She was battling with her own emotions of being an honest pony and made some bad decisions, and she ended up being dishonest to everypony at the end.

Sorry about that.

But, if you look at it that way, I can see what you mean. I remember you discussing that with some of the others, and it was a rather fierce discussion.

The Super Cider thingie episode, I thought, was lackluster. It didn't really seem to have the charm of most of the episodes. And I felt the way it ended was kinda weak as well. Its the first episode I thought was really mediocore. I mean, the whole Rainbow Dash doesn't get any cider thing was funny, but overall it just felt weak.

And I almost think that the apple cider looked a lot like beer in this episode. I mean, it was being served in mugs, it was fizzing a lot like beer, and it was very bubbly. Not that that is neccesarily a bad thing, but it kinda threw me off, especially the way everypony was obsessing over it.

I can understand what you mean, 'SSCS6K' wasn't the best episode when it comes to story, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I'm still saying this episode had the most individual cutie marks than any other episode, and used the least amount of clones. I think the creators put a lot of effort into that part of the episode and I really see this as a Ponyville episode rather than a main 6 or Apple family episode. And it was the citizens of Ponyville that learned the real lesson. And the big musical number took me by complete surprise when I first saw it.
And we get to see the Epona look-a-like background pony with the wrench on her flank. :)

And about the cider: The fans took that and just went crazy with it. I don't really enjoy the fans linking it with beer, but it doesn't bother me as much as some of the other things the fandom does. For me however, when I see the episode I don't really link the cider with beer so it works for me.

By the way, can I ask you something? Who is your favorite character in the series so far, and what is your favorite episode?

No secret there, my favorite character this season is Pinkie Pie. Last season it was Twilight. And my most favorite episode of all is 'Baby Cakes' which is weird because usually that type of episode would be my least favorite in any show. But Pinkie just made that episode so awesome and fun that I couldn't help but love it.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch Baby Cakes, but I do plan to check it out very soon.

By the way, have you noticed that when they re run episodes on TV, they skip the first two episodes of season 2, the first two episodes of season 1, Luna Eclipsed, and Hearth's Warming Eve? Do you have any idea why they are doing that?

I don't have the HUB channel where I live, so I can't really say.
Pinkie Pie had some of the best episodes this season, too bad the fandom just can't write her, a recent fanwork I saw just made her out as completely annoying. My favorite CMC right now is Scootaloo, mostly because I'm playing her in rp and she's such a fun character. My favorite support pony will have to be Big Mac. Background ponies are a little bit more difficult, I like a lot of them for different reasons. I like Caramel of course, and I always like Hidden Berry. I also really like Junebug, I wish they'd show more of her.
 Guess I went a bit overboard on my favorite characters a bit.

Yeah, Pinkie Pie is just one of those characters that is really hard to get just right.

And I don't think you really went overboard. But for my favorite characters and episodes:

Favorite Character: Fluttershy

Favorite Episode: Secret to My Excess

Favorite Secondary Character: Spike

Favortie Backround character: Derpy (Doctor Whooves is a close second.)

I thought I might as well put my input in.

Fluttershy? I always thought you liked Applejack best , but that only proves that I'm not good at making assumptions. Fluttershy is such a likeable character :) and she's got all her friends and halve of Bronydom that would defend her if you just dare hurt a hair on her head. Yet she's the most fears of the six.

No no no, don't get me wrong. I love Applejack as well. But I was almost judging my basis by which character has the most to learn about friendship. From what I could tell, Fluttershy is, in my opinion, the most friendly of the 6 main characters. She may have problems with assertiveness, and self confidence, but her problems are purely internal.

Now Applejack, I really love Applejack. In my opinion, she's like a more friendly version of Rainbow Dash with a more "get things done" personaility. She is a very well developed character, and even though she can be clueless to somethings, she's overall a great character. I may have Applejack in my sig because she's a character I like a LOT, and I thought it kinda had a nice ring to it, but Fluttershy is just so undeniably CUTE and sweet, that its hard to pick anyone above her. And your assumption was really a good one because I really do like Applejack a lot. Who knows, I might even say it would be too close to call if you asked me who my favorite pony was another time. But if you wanted me to divide it into categories on what I like about them, Applejack would win most of those votes because her character is something I have always wanted to be.

Whew, I said a lot! But I just wanted to let you know exactly how I felt about the characters.

I always look at it like this: I've this line with all the main six on it, because I like them all. It's just, of that six on that straight line Pinkie Pie is best pony, you know what I mean?

Yeah, I guess I know what you mean. You like them all equally, but Pinkie Pie just speaks to you as a character more than the others. I totally find that cool. Pinkie Pie is just a hilarious character overall.

But, sometimes I wish there was more to her than pure silliness. I mean, she can get depressed, but it doesn't feel like she ever really has any character development, if you know what I mean.

Okay, after watching Baby Cakes, I can see why Pinkie Pie might get some development as a character. Now, I can see what you mean. But concerning the episode, it was hilarious of course but I felt like Twilight was just being mean in this episode. I mean, she normally has more tact. You don't need to state
straight out that Pinkie Pie is irresponsible. Really that was rather foolish, and I almost thought it was a little bit odd for Twilight's character.

I'm glad to see that things worked out, even though I was sure they would. :) I liked how they handled the storyline, and everything flowed so well. Discord was such a great villain!
I think with Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie, she usually doesn't get upset by her friends comments and they tend to speak more openly with her, and because of that they don't always see Pinkie's insecurities (and a lot of the fandom too, I might add). Like how Twi calls Pinkie jealous with Gilda and Rainbow's comment in 'Friend in deed'. Twi didn't even realize she offended Pinkie, that's just Twilight being Twilight. Just like she hits Spike with the door and throws him off the ladder in the very first episode. Lost in her own little world, oblivious of everything around her.

@Sno I also liked how the story played out. :) Some fans are disappointed in the final battle, but for me everything worked really well.
What did everybody find so disappointing about the final battle? Was it that Discord was turned to stone again instead of being redeemed, like Night Mare Moon was? If so, I didn't have an issue with that. I actually thought it was kind of logical, because he didn't seem like the type who'd reform. But if that's what it is, I can understand why some people would prefer that he change his ways. I guess it's just a matter of personal preference.
@Sno
It was mostly because there wasn't an epic battle between Discord and the six and he was defeated so easily. For me the battle was defeating Discords lies and overcoming his deceptive ways. It was done really well and the final attack was cherry on the cake. It was great how Twilight didn't realize her friends had become discorded, leading to her defeat and how Discord didn't know they were back to normal leading to his defeat.
After watching Putting Your Hoof Down,
Twilight's crazy side in Lesson Zero feels completley natural compared to Fluttershy's mean and nasty form. It wasn't completley her fault, but I was just awfully touched by this episode. It was NOT what I was expecting at all.
