There's potential there but I feel very wary. I'll be keeping an eye out for its initial reception, I think. Much the same for Symphogear and Rinne no Lagrange.

I'm extremely on board for Smile Precure though.

I actually like the daring makeover of the -monogatori crew. Real people change styles all the time, especially as they grow up and it's kind of refreshing to see someone with guts to sacrifice iconic-ism to reflect it. Nisemonogatori is the only series from this list I can honestly say I'm looking forward to. (@blkmage: please don't jinx it, the fates are bad as it is.)

I'll keep my eyes open for Another, and there's a good chance I'll be into the Black Star Shooter sequel once I've seen the previous season.

D: So late in the season!

Granted, Black★Rock Shooter will only have 8 or 9 episodes and Smile will probably end up going 40+ episodes in the long run, so I guess it doesn't matter too much. But still, I'll be back in school with no time by then. :<

Thursdays look like they are going to be packed, as always.

Oh my, I didn't expect Nisemonogatori this early. Time for a Let's Watch! that I'll actually follow?

Yeah, Precure usually starts in February right after the one before it ends, which in this case is Suite Precure.

And I believe that Thermae Romae and BRS are in the same timeslot, which is one of the noitaminA slots.

Oh, I remember hearing about that. Thought it was just some Not-Transformers game for the 3DS. Hm, might check it out.

Another is worth a thread IMHO. Due to the fact that Yukito Ayatsuji is a doctor on education science from the elite Kyoto University. He started to write mystery novels since 1987 and has gotten very popular in recent years as a mystery novel writer. He is particularly known for tight story structure, very insightful mental portrait, prevalence of fantasy mood, and clever narrative tricks and this anime should contain it wonderfully. [Though, it is going to be made by the same guy who directed Blood-C and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan so it might fail. But at least the director will not be afraid to show a lot of blood.]

Also: Nisemonogatari due to the fact that it was first made by Isin Nisio. [Who is an amazing writer. His work: Death Note Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases is 10x times better than than the First Death Note manga.] And is going to be made by Shinbou, the same guy who directed Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Cossette no Shouzou and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Uh. I just learn that there was a new Death Note manga. Also, you forgot to point that Nisemonogatari is the sequel to a wildly successful anime :P

So....did anyone else here at CAA see the first episode of Rinne no Lagrange that got leaked?
I think it was better than what was expected from the preview.

It didn't get leaked, it was a pre-air special on Nico Nico Live. It wasn't bad.

Kill Me Baby is kinda lacking, but I'll give it another episode for the ninja girl, she's the best.

Symphogear was really good. Interesting episode with cool fights and a few surprises, but most importantly, plenty of Mizuki Nana insert songs.

Symphogear was....hmmm....I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet. Action was quite dynamic and the suit designs are cool, but the episode's direction felt sort of rushed and jumpy. I'll watch more of it regardless. It's now really obvious why there was very little information/trailers about this beforehand.

As a sidenote, if there are any other RPG fans aside from me reading this thread...one of the creators of this show and the guy on series composition is Akifumi Kaneko, who is best known as the producer/creator of the Wild Arms series.

I was not expecting it to be that good, but that first episode was amazing. Like some crazy combination of Macross, Precure and Madoka Magica. Loved it to pieces.

Not sure I'd go quite as far as that, but I was pretty impressed with Symphogear.

I hope they keep plastering attack names across the screen.

I'm a bit curious, after seeing the level of anticipation people online seem to have for the Another anime - has anyone here read the original novel? Or read the manga adaption of the novel? I read the first half of the manga...
It sucks.
That, combined with the fact that P.A. Works is adapting it has left me kind of...meh.

As for other things...I'll probably watch Poyopoyo (what can I say, deformed cats are fun). I've heard a lot of good about the Thermae Romae manga and I've heard the Brave 10 manga is tons of fun, so I might watch those just because. And of course I'll be watching Natsume.

Actually, having now seen the first episode is Symphogear, is it basically like Nanoha crossed with Macross? Because that was awesome.

And yeah, stopping to show off the attack name was also awesome. Also, 'dat Gundam-esque shot.

I imagine people are anticipating Another partly because it's horror and partly because they have some misplaced hope in it being an adaptation of a legit novel. I don't have any particular expectations for it.

I thought Moretsu Pirates was decent enough that I'll look out for the next episode.

Yeah, Mouretsu Pirates wasn't bad. The first episode felt fairly slow-paced, more so than I was expecting after watching the PVs. But that's not really a negative since it's scheduled for 26 episodes and has plenty of time to tell its story. The setting is neat and I like the future tech. The OP song, not so much...although maybe it will grow on me.

Inu x Boku SS (I think? xD Weird title) looks interesting... I heard it had some, er, interesting theological issues (i. e. capitalizing on the recent demon popularity, lol). If I can find it legally, I'll definitely try it out-- the character designs are amazing, and I love the style!

Sentai Filmworks has annouced that they have streaming and distribution rights for this, though I'm still unsure of where they'll be streaming it.

So Rinne no Lagrange was fun. I liked the mechanical designs a lot, especially the enemy robot. Nice job so far, Nissan. Also, any show containing a mecha suplex will get a lot of rope from me.
