Harassment...

I discovered this morning that someone I dated once (and then broke up with because I felt that we simply would not get along) made a FB page with my personal info, slandering me. I'm going to contact FB about taking it down, and I'm going to see if there is some action my university can take. This is really upsetting because it places my personal info out to the world- putting me in danger- and because it brings back a lot of memories of being bullied all through elementary school.

Please pray I'll find some way to deal with this, and pray that he can get over his anger.

Nevermind. The person who informed me that I had a FB page like this just admitted they were joking. I don't think this is cool because I have spent the last hour crying over it (I have dated guys that would do something like that), but it's a relief that it wasn't true.

It's like "your face" jokes I hear all the time, even from friends of mine. People seem to forget Ephesian 5:4 or at least consider it inapplicable to their obviously-poor choice of humor (to put it mildly).

Well, I don't know if it fits Ephisian 5:4 (and I certainly wouldn't point fingers at those who broke it because I know I do), but it was an insensitive joke. At least I don't have to deal with that on top of all the other stuff I have to- that is real and stressing me out.

I would highly suggest reconsidering your relationship with the person that told you this. They could have caused notable damage to several people with this 'prank'.

Will be praying. They can be charged nowadays for that kind of harrassment actually. If things get more out of hand, that is probably the better way.

I'm just simply stating (with no means of singling out anyone) that your story is one of many perfect examples of why Facebook's supposed intentions are just crock and that the world can rotate just as well without it. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I do have news of another sort that IS harassment, this time 4 rEalZ.

I had been seeing someone slightly a bit a few times, and he kind of physically harassed me. I discovered he's been using the club I'm in to physically/sexually assault girls- me and another girl were victims, and tonight he might have made off with another... he and she went off after club, and I feel sick because I didn't realize what was happening until he'd already left with her.

This has been brought up to the club board and with two complaints he had a warning given, and today during club it was announced that harassment had been happening between members outside of club. If he pulls it again, he's out... and the club prez WILL be speaking to her about it... and the other girl and I are filing formal complaints against him with the campus police.

Because of his approach, the other girl and I know he's done this before. It sickens us to know that he has gotten away with it, because there's no police file on him. Pray for us- it's terrifying to be dealing with this.

Well, it's over. I talked to the campus police, and thankfully the spiritual advisor for the group came for support and to help. It was terrifying, and it really hit me that he had pulled stuff that really made me uncomfortable. While it didn't fall into criminal activity, they are talking to him, and if he contacts me again, I can report him immediately.

Yay for the wonderful campus police!
