concussion, weight gain and overall stress

Postby Gala » Mon Oct 31, 2011 9:55 pm

Hey guys, I have a few prayer requests that all kind of go together so I guess in reality it is just one huge prayer request but anyway.. guess I'll just get to it.

First off, I have a concussion that I have had for about two weeks now that is keeping me from doing the work out program I was supposed to start three weeks ago and from taking care of my daughter without a lot of help due to the dizziness and severe headaches resulting because of it. The work out program is seriously needed. I found out I am 30 lbs over weight and with my bad back and bad knnes that is a pretty harsh thing to deal with. I also have thinning bones so the extra weight is definitely a concern. The problem is that I have no will power to stay away from the foods I am not supposed to eat (and having just gone trick or treating with my daughter doesn't help much either lol). I know some of the weight gain and lack of will power are stress related and at this point in time there is not much that I can do about my stress levels other than pray which I have been doing.

There are a lot of causes for the stress but I think the main one is being separated from my husband because he can not find a job near him and he can not drive to find one until he gets his license re-instated and pay the SR-22 insurance he has to have now due to his massive amounts of tickets he has been issued which can not happen until we have the funds to put down on all of this. We separated because of our inability to take care of our daughter if we stay together right now. Without the blessing of my parents taking my daughter and I in, Sarai (our daughter) would not be able to be fed.

Ok, this has already become fairly long... If you can just pray that my concussion heals fast, I can lose this weight so I can be healthy and be able to keep up with my daughter and that my husband can somehow get his license and insurance so he can get a job that would be great. Thanks for your time.

God bless!
Always find time in your day to rejoice for something the Lord has done for you... even if it is just the miracle of getting up every morning.

I'll pray that you can fight the temptations that the food causes in you. ^^

He is not temperamental, but he likes to pull pranks and grins when you fall into his traps. Usually, he styles a fedora and prances around on all fours, he's all black with a white belly.
