What Game Are You Playing Right Now?

Playing Resistance 3. Great so far. Fixes the main issues I had with Resistance 2 (which were ditching the weapon wheel in favor of an "only two different guns at any time" system, and trading a health meter for the "sit tight and wait for your health to regenerate" approach).

Also, my pre-ordered copy of the game came with a Chimera tooth necklace.

Behold!

Endless Ocean (Click for preview)... I had never heard of this and just got this as a random gift and wow, I have to say I'm surprised. The game looks/sounds like a boring game reading the box and I wasn't expecting much at all. But it's actually one of the most beautiful games I think I've ever played. And even though all you do is explore, the map is huge and it's quite fun and doesn't get boring! There is no plot really. You swim in the ocean and look at fish and learn facts about them. You can't even die. I know it sounds boring but... it's not. It's the most relaxing, beautiful game ever. My only gripe is that it came out on the Wii and not a PS3 or something... The graphics are WAY better than I was expecting for a Wii game and looks beautiful but just imagining what it would have been like on a PS3 kills me...

The coolest things I've found so far was the Humpback Whale, Whale Shark and the Sperm Whale... You never realize how big these things are until you swim with them :D Really wanna find the Giant Squid, Great White Shark, and Blue Whale...

Endless Ocean 2 is now on my wish list...

Great way to relieve stress and relax...

I actually loved the torture part, but then again I've always liked torture scenes in fiction; it's always very dramatic. And whenever I have to madly pummel a single button, I tend to use my index finger, and alternate hands when they get worn out, because you just have to hit one button so it doesn't matter.

It took some doing, but I'm finally out of the cell in Metal Gear Solid, and on my way to save the day! :jump: I can't express how much I love the way the wolves congregate around you when you have Sniper Wolf's handkerchief equipped <3

Got out my N64 and started a new game on Banjo and Kazooie not too long ago. I grew up with this game, so it feels good to be playing it again.

Plus my GC memory card got corrupted, so I don't really have a choice but to play my old games for now...

Gah, they are cool but I just hate the button mashing thing. Worst part is, in Peace Walker, I aced it the first time, missed a bit in the next cut scene, so I went back and then it took 50 tries to get past the torture scene :eh:

Also, picked up a copy of Alan Wake on the 360. Pretty awesome so far.

Was looking forward to picking up the Silent Hill HD Collection for PS3, but it's been delayed until December 2. While I'm bummed that I won't get it as soon as I'd wanted, this might actually be good news: It would mean that Konami is working on getting the original voice acting in SH2 rather than replacing it entirely with an all-new VA cast.

Oh dude, I love that series! You totally need to get Jump Ultimate Stars, it is AMAZING. That was seriously one of my best gaming experiences of all time, I spent so much time fighting people online it was crazy. I might have to pull it out soon, I've got an itch to play it again. XD

As for what I'm playing, I just started Persona 2 today. :D

Just finished Professor Layton and The Unwound Future.... really great game and all.... but I'm crying my eyes out right now. ;___;
Sad, bitter sweet endings... they really get to me.
I honestly hope that level 5 makes a final game that takes place after this.

I'm nearing the end of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. So far my opinion aligns with most of what I've heard from others: it's a good game, the boss fights are silly, and it has a little bit of consolitus but then that seems to be par for the course these days. I think it's certainly a better successor than Invisible War. There are moments when it feels really Looking Glass-y.

I've just done a death run up a tower and rapelled all the way back down, and am feeling like a dork for liking Metal Gear Solid so much :B My brother informs me I'm getting to the end of the first disk; I'm looking forward to the climax.

And Professor Layton and the Unwound Future makes me feel smart, so I like it a lot.

Hey blacklight, did you know they came out with a new Harvest Moon game this month? It's called "Tale of two Towns"

I didn't know that it came out this month, but I have heard of it. (I don't know much about it. I think I'll look into it.) I've only played two Harvest Moon games, but they're addicting.

Also planning to resume Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.

@Grubb: How's Dark Souls going? :D I'm technically still in Blighttown but I've been exploring other areas and leveling up and stuff. Once I got the mechanics and such, it's been smooth sailing until the spider boss. I'm extremely unlucky, I get her down to one more hit and then die. EVERY TIME. >_<
