My Friend's Surgery

My Friend's Surgery

I have a friend of mine who just had surgery last night on her intestines. I can't remember the name of the problem she had, but my mom says that it's where the large intestine and small intestine run into each other and cause a mass that has to be fixed surgically. And from what I hear from my dad (he had colon surgery.), abdominal surgery is pretty darn intense afterwards and for the next couple weeks, so I know my friend is in a great deal of pain right now. I'll be able to visit her on Monday, since she'll be out of it until then. Please just pray that her recovery will be as fast as possible. And I say that rather than speedy because a full recovery takes a little over a month and sometimes longer. :I

Ooo! Yeah, I can imagine she's in pain. :( Will be praying for comfort and healing.

Thanks, guys. I visited her yesterday and we found out that she has cancer. It's non Hodgkin's Lymphoma and so far the doctors are pretty sure that it's the first stage, which is the best it gets in terms of cancer stages. I'm just so moved at how my friend has taken the news. She's her usual self, which is smily and positive. :) I know there'll be some rough days ahead of her, but I know for a fact that God has his hand on her.

I'm glad to hear that, even though it's still bad news, it's not nearly as bad as it could have been! Praying for her!
