Has anyone played this game? If so, would you recommend, and why or why not? Looks interesting, but I want to hear from someone with firsthand experience. Thanks. :)

I haven't played it, but I know a guy who has!

Apparently it's like Minecraft in 2D. It however has more RPG elements to it, like stats and dungeons and magic and stuff. So, if you like RPGs, or you like Minecraft, odds are you will probably like this game.

Although it is kind of like a 2D Minecraft, you can't really build anything fancy. Yeah, you place blocks and stuff, but when you can only make a house that consists of being viewed from the side, there's not a whole lot you can do with your imagination. (Though I suppose re-creating some Castlevania scenes would fit really well...)

The emphasis is on combat and loot instead, and it will have plenty of updates in the future.

It's best if you play with a friend, as playing by yourself gets to be a little boring eventually.

I've been playing this the last day with 2 friends... pretty fun, though we had some lag issues.

<.< Yeah terarria is my game with the most time on it in Steam. It got that way in about a week, and obliterated both Borderlands and like... a full years worth of play in Left 4 Dead 2.

Just a bump; about a month ago Re-logic released a major update to Terraria, intoducing tons of new items and equipment, 4 new bosses, a revamped lighting system, new musics, and a whole bunch of other stuffs.

This game still has a lot of potential and remains stupendously fun :)

Does anyone have any recommended servers they play on?
