Friends/Family with Health Problems

Postby Riggidig » Fri May 13, 2011 3:27 pm

I would appreciate it if you could pray for the following people:

  • My work colleague, who today in a week's time is going for radiation therapy to have a tumour in her brain removed (she had an op last year where they could only remove half of it, because it's in an area that's difficult to reach). She might have some short term memory loss and she will most probably not be able to have children again.
  • My uncle, who's recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and can't work properly (he's a builder).
  • My cousin, who has cancer all over his body and is not doing well.
  • A friend of my mom who has had problems with her brain for years and who recently had an epileptic attack, resulting in her being bed-ridden and not being able to speak properly.
  • Another friend of my mom, who's back, even after an operation and several treatments, is still giving her trouble.
  • Yet another friend of my mom who might have leukemia.
  • My grandmother, who recently fell again for the second time in 6 months, and has been moved to the intensive care unit of the retirement home where she will have to spend the rest of her life in (she's not really injured, but they said she can't live on her own anymore out of fear for her security).
  • My mom, who is constantly negative from morning to night, doesn't sleep well, stresses constantly, and who said I'm not allowed to tell any of this to anyone.

God bless.

Wow. Praying! (also, if your mom does go to see a doctor, you can mention those issues privately to them- either on the phone or during a seperate appointment. At least, you can in the US)

Thanks Atria. I actually meant my mom said I'm not allowed to mention ANYTHING on that list above (about our family/friends) to ANYONE. She's VERY secretive/paranoid unfortunately :(

Yeah, I understood that part. I don't understand why it's okay to let her suffer from possibly unmedicated mental illness that makes you miserable. In my family, that's like letting someone drunk drive with you in the passenger side- you don't let it happen.
