Well I've been really really down for months(well years) but its really hit me again these past months. I still have no job,my dad has to pay my student loans each month.I am so lonely its unbelievable.I really have no friends to hang out with which also has me depressed.I am turning 22 on Friday and i am sad cuz i always dreamed id be married by then...i still havent met "the one"(or any man for that matter)any way i know God has his own plans for me,but im a hopeless dreamer i guess. I really havent been praying at all and i know i should. i am just so lonely and unhappy. Some days i wonder why i am even here. I know there is a reason or God would have taken me home by now.(im not gonna do anything dont worry im just venting frustration.)
please pray for me. I dont wanna be alone anymore i wanna get on with my life.

You are soooo not alone on trying to find "the one" for you. You do have firends (maybe not at your physucal location) on here! I am 20 and I expected to be married by now too...but I am still trusting that God will make it happen in due time. I will pray for you everyday form here on out.

thanks homie.likewise. i love that this website was created.there are so many nice people here! if only i felt that way at my bible study sunday mornings.i feel so out of place and uncomfortable.everyone looks so nice and speaks so nice and i dont feel like i fit in.im kinda a shadow that sits alone in the corner.i mean they'll talk to me but i just dont know what to say other than small talk. and i feel like im being pitied somehow like a stray dog.guess its my pride.but i just dont feel connected to them like i should im shy and keep to myself thats just me.maybe i seem snobby.i dunno.

That is a normal reaction to things like a bible study. It is hard to open up to other people. When I first started going to bible study I would sit there and keep to myself like you do, but that made things worse. So, I decided to open up so i could slowly get rid of the pain I was keeping to myself. I may not know you very well, but I am here to help if you need it (or if you just need someone to talk to).

I understand how you feel, a bit. This Friday I turned 23, I've never been on a date, never been kissed, anything. It's not how I saw things working out for me.
I'm making the best of it that I can and enjoying finding new things that I like, and new things about myself. I recently took up crocheting, for instance, and am well on my way to having a new blanket.
So there are doors and windows and experiences open for you. Not the ones you wanted, but they're the ones God has given you. Take advantage of them!

hehehe - maybe it's in the breeze - that is, thinking we'd be married by our 20s. God may not want us to be married for several more years, who knows.
I don't believe the "the one" thing - That suggests that God has set someone aside for you, as though your future is supposed to be along certain lines. I've heard of many people who are lonely and make the mistake of thinking that they've found "the one". They get married and then "realize" that the person they are with isn't "the one" (When actually what they are experiencing is the real person their spouse is, lol). Then they get divorced and are added to the stats.
Now I'm not saying that you guys' dreams of getting married is problem - that's just a fancy that even I've experienced. What I am saying is, be cautious. I repeat, be cautious.
When you're feeling lonely, now's a great time to work on your relationship with God. God WILL be able to fit that void if you let him in. I encourage you - seek Him. If anyone is "the one", He is. Yeah, it's hard because we tend to think that direct physical relationships are the ones we're looking for, but perhaps that means we need to reshape how we think of our relationship with God.
I'll be praying for you. And may you grow to be aware of His presence.

I'll be turning 19 this Friday as well (is May 6 some popular b-day or something!?) and will be praying. I haven't kissed anyone (by choice so that doesn't really work), but I wll be praying for friends and finances.

I don't think his plan for you is pushed back. Remember that God gave you free will, so he still has a plan for you, but it depends on if you want to follow him. Just have faith.

If you're thinking that you committing some sin is what's keeping God from helping you find a boyfriend/husband, then this simply isn't the case. He doesn't punish us like that. The events that happen in your life are opportunities to rise over that sin. But that seems like a question that's teetering on the free-will/predestination argument, so I'm not comfortable saying anything further.

I'ms so sorry your going through this Kris, I will be praying for you.
Excellent point, I just wanted to add that God doesn't actually "punish" us at all as all our sins have been laid upon Christ on the Cross. But He does discipline us. His chastisement however doesn't bring about a delay or further pain, but brings us closer to Him and in being brought closer to Him and required to rely solely on Him draws you further away from such as habitual sin. So your time right now might be so to draw your heart closer to Him. And you're going to meet the right guy exactly when God wants you to meet him. There are no delays in His book. But you see, the Lord will have made all His preparations for that time in your years of singleness. You see the Lord loves and cares for you as His child, deeply and truly. Through our pain and suffering He is crafting us and molding us according to His good and perfect plan of Love.

I know how you feel Kris. I am 19 and never had a bf. I want to be married some day as well, for this is my dream. I also know through God telling me so I believe, that I am not ready for marriage(let alone a relationship). The thing for me is, we must trust in God and remember that we are not alone because we have someone much better. Our Lord Jesus Christ. If getting married is your heart's desire, I believe he will give it to you. Remember, in God's timing not ours. For example, Rebecca Saint James(a Christian singer), waited for many years before she met her one. She only recently found him(or he found her.). I believe she is around 30. Keep heart my darling.^^ *hugs*
