Shoo, maybe you can change your avatar to Hatori? XD

I'm currently a 5th year student studying to get my BFA in Painting with an emphasis in illustration. I'm a freelance illustrator so I guess that works out \^_^/
Yah, I got like one or two semesters to go. lol...

I am currently working on my B.S. in Engineering Physics with a specialty in Computer Engineering. Not my first love but it got me a job, pays the bills, and I enjoy it.

Lots of my free time is spent on literature and philosophy, comparative religion, applied theology, ethics, metaphysics, etc. although I am hesitant to turn any one of those interests into a degree. I am already working on my breadwinner, and I don't know if the extra structure of a degree program would help me that much. Similarly I am undecided about higher education, but that might just be my cynicism towards colleges and universities showing.

I'm currently a freshman Journalism major, and I will probably get a minor in communications. I am still considering law school down the road. Journalism is an absolute neccessity in any society. Without it, the people have no way of keeping tabs on their government, local authorities, and on events in general. Journalism has its ethical issues, but at its ideal form, it is a very beneficia thing.

Dude, I read this line and, I kid you not, my brain read "Duel-Monsters Degree". LOL Anyway, I took a few... er, several years off from college. I'm planning on going back. I had formerly gone for a major in Computer Science but I didn't exactly enjoy it. I'm now planning on going again in about a year and it is my plan, Lord willing, to either major in theology (specifically a general Biblical Studies program that could open the doors for Seminary or else something else ministerial) and minoring in communication (particularly typed or media) or else double majoring in both. ^_^ depending probably on how well I can work my way through.

...but then it would be cool to go to Seto's school for Duel Monsters too! XD :P

I am studying music right now with an emphasis in Violin Performance, but I don't know how much longer it will last, since I kind of suck at it.

EDIT: OK, I am deleting the rest of that post, because it was basically just me whining. Let's pretend that never happened.

This is the type of Bible/Theology degree I am majoring in right now. We are not so much "taught" the theology from our class lectures/discussions, but rather we have to analyze, journal, and work through the text ourselves while our professors give us the groundwork for a contextual, historical worldview of Biblical times that we can come to our own conclusions and receive help as needed.

Oftentimes they don't even tell us their view on certain topics because they don't want us to cling to what they believe. Sometimes it'll be used as an example, with showing the varying views of other professors or scholars, but it is always left to us to decide where we stand in such issues. (And sometimes it just comes down to, "Does this REALLY even matter?" And most of the time, not really. )

As far a Bible/Theology and Communication goes, that's what my future sister-in-law is just about to graduate in. Communication degrees basically allow you to do just about any kind of work, so they're valuable to have. Or so I hear. :thumb:

I'm double-majoring in environmental science and geology, and right now, I'm one quarter and a [s]month in the bleeding desert[/s] summer field camp away from a B.S. in both! They're both great fields, drawing from lots of areas you wouldn't expect - environmental science, for example, is a combination of biology, geology, chemistry, with a bit of law and applied math. Geology, meanwhile, is awesome by itself. It irrevocably changes how you see the world; you start seeing cool stuff in crushed stone in parking lots, you learn words like "diastrophism," and you gain a whole new appreciation for things like metal, cosmetics and sparkles in toothpaste. (They're bits of mica, probably phlogopite or muscovite. They're harmless, but I think they're more interesting when they're in their natural form.)

Electrical technology. I originally planned to troubleshoot computer and then led to medical machines. However, I think there are better opportunities for me by going with this route.

After I finish my Associate's, I will plan on getting a Bachelors in Missions.

I am currently into my 3rd and final year (that is, if they don't decide to stick another year onto the course like last year!) of the Advanced Diploma of Screen & Media (basically Film & TV Production). Been pretty cool, we get to produce our own short films this year (finally, as some colleagues may say...)

After that, don't know really. Guess anything's possible...

I did a Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Systems) and Bachelor of Mathematical & Computer Sciences a few years ago.
Most of the non-fiction books I read these days tend to be on theology or software engineering.
Everywhere like such as, and MOES.
