In your post, you used three "splice commas"—]Generally, I'm spelling everything the way it should be spelled, though don't expect me to be amazing at it during chat; I type faster than I think so I start pressing letters I don't want to press, especially enter for some strange reason.[/quote]Furen (post: 1473137) wrote:Generally, I'm spelling everything the way it should be spelled, though don't expect me to be amazing at it during chat, I type faster than I think so I start pressing letters I don't want to press, especially enter for some strange reason.
And I still don't know how to properly use semi-colons (Unless I'm programming is C++ or something)
Though I do try to be conscious of spelling and whatnot, I don't have a problem with contractions, but I do however have a problem with people saying something like "You spelled Colour wrong, it should be spelled C-o-l-o-r" I understand you have a way of spelling it, but I live in Canada, so we have a few words that are not the same.

How's that for semicolon use?I don't mind if you do or do not use grammar, though please try to spell things correctly, and don't region spell rage; it's just rude.
It is correct, in this case, for the period to go outside the parentheses, because the parentheses are inside the sentence. Note that the question mark in the second pair of parentheses is correct to go inside the parentheses, since those parentheses are not in a sentence. I generalize that rule to apply to quotes as well, but many grammaticians insist that punctuation always goes inside quotes no matter what (which I think is crazy).Furen wrote:I'm terrible at capitalization, unless it's critical I do so (IE: Classwork). (Also, on this part right here, should that period go before the brackets, or after?)

So sorry if I drive anyone up the wall with my spelling. Really not sure how to improve my grammar skills at this point in life.
