Firstly, Biblically speaking, you'll mature at a snail's pace if you don't have a community of fellow believers helping you. And, I don't just mean us here on the internet. Yes, the people here are a great resource. But the thing is, there's a difference between living breathing flesh in front of who you can see and touch and hang out with and us online. ANd, I don't just mean a place you go to once a week on Sunday mornings or twice a week if you go on Wednesday nights. But, I mean some Christian people of your gender and your age and possibly older that know what you're going through, who you hang out with, and who you can talk to when this stuff comes up. You need, if you don't have one, best friends who are Christian and who you can do stuff with. They might not be at your church. But, you need that. Nowhere in the Bible will you find a man trying to go about it by himself. You need a Biblical church community that will keep you accountable daily to get you out of your sin.
Also: make sure you're pursuing God primarily. It's not a bad thing you want to be out of your sin, but if you make that your god, you'll just keep falling. Make sure you're seeking God and setting your mind to the things of God then from that will come your freedom.
You've got to stop worrying as well man. The world's not going to end on any of those dates.
"But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."
(Matthew 24:43-44 ESV)
Heck, worrying is a sin:
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
(Matthew 6:25-34 ESV)
And, don't worry about politics. For:
"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God."
(Romans 13:1 ESV)
The leaders that exist and will exist are only in the position they'll be in because God ordained it. You can't change that. Worrying yourself into a depression can't fix that. God's got a reason for bad leaders and good leaders and most of the time, it's not our concern(there are exceptions. But, you can't stress over those either). Thus, we should vote our concious as God calls us to and be concerned primarily with the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Don't get yourself depressed, man. God loves you. God wants to care for you. John Piper says it best: "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." When you're miserable in God, you're not giving glory to God.
I think this can help you. Don't seek after worldy pleasures. Don't worry over worldy things. Rather, approach the Fountain of Life and take your joy in Him. Here are a few links about Christian hedonism which I feel will be of use to you:

I'll be praying for you, man. It's alright if you're not alright. Just don't stay there and keep pursuing Christ.
