I was considering buying one... I still am. The DS really is the only system I actively play and get games for. I haven't bought a 3DS yet because 1) it's insanely expensive for a portable device... Loving my regular DS so much though, I think I'd make an exception for this... However: 2) none of the games really interest me. The only one that really caught my interest was Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars or something like that... And I'm not gonna buy a system for only one game... though I hear Street fighter is pretty neat as far as the 3D goes...

When they release Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, THEN I'll buy one for sure. Huge fan of both series and having both Layton and Phoenix in the same game? Genius!

hey scarecrow, you know they are making zelda ocerina of time for 3ds. not a zelda fan? that game is the highest rated of all time, and i believe all your ds games will plan on a 3ds

I love the 3DS! The 3D is like looking inside a living, moving diagram box thingy. It really is 3D! AND WITHOUT GLASSES!!! Plus they added so much that Nintendo fans were asking for, and many things that kept me from previously wanting a DS. The stylist is sturdier, the graphics are pretty darn amazing, and the slide-pad is soooooo much better than the D-pad (and it works on older DS games!) The only down sides are the lack of compelling relese-titles and that not all of the features (like the internet browser) are accessible yet; but these will be remidied with time!

And to have Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time coming out in 3D is such a HUGE bonus!!! It's the defining Legend of Zelda story, with the most compelling plot line of any game I've played to date, and it's gameplay was so inovative for it's time. And it's coming out in a handheld system?! Suffice it to say, I geeked when I heard about this. ^_^

Well I am excited about getting a 3DS but yeah, I'm holding off till the games I want actually come out.

I'm holding off a bit. Hopefully by the time games come out that I actually want to play (Like Layton vs Ace Attorney, Zelda etc), the price will drop a little =D

well the battery sucks because with 3d on takes about 3 hours of game play so im thinking of buying a 3rd party battery to increase the battery life for road trips and vacations

The battery works well for my level of play time and 3D effect. I have mine set on the middle. 3995-6516-4496

another reason is that the 3ds price won't drop until like a newer system comes out or you find one used at a gamestop or somethin

For very limited 3D use, being in sleep mode (with Wifi off half the time) level one brightness with powersave mode, I get about 6-8 hours of play time, it's sweet.

I was thinking about a 3DS... then I was thinking about a PSP... then I got to play with a demo 3DS! I love it, but I'm not impressed with the game selection.

same here I went to best buy for something and I saw the demo I was amazed of what I saw but then I saw the games.......

I'm glad I waited... 3DS retail price has been cut down to $169.00... prices go into effect early August. 169 is much more reasonable. Picking one up for sure along with Zelda. I ALMOST bought one the other day and decided against it... it was just too much money for a handheld. Sure this shows the 3DS must be having troubles for such an early price cut but hopefully Nintendo got the message. You can't charge that much for a handheld!
