Princess Jellyfish- Nerds unite!

Postby Doubleshadow » Sun Feb 27, 2011 6:34 pm

Anybody else watch Princess Jellyfish? I love that the main characters are chronic nerds to the point of being hikimori. And it has what might be the best opening ever. Wait for it...

I know a bunch of us were watching it while it was airing. I think it was pretty good.

She is nate. She is incapable of talking without referencing it.
And yeah I watched it on Funimation back when it was airing in the fall.

I watched it as well while it was airing in the fall (Recommended it on the podcast I believe XD)

I love all the characters they each brought something unique to the show. I do hope they continue it with more than just the dvd special. :)

I watched it a month ago or so, and really enjoyed it. I thought it was nice to see a kind of slice-of-life show with slightly older protagonists rather than high school students.

There's a DVD special? What's it about?

I'm on episode five right now. Wow this is seriously a fantastic show. Apparently the ending kind of sucks though? XP

I thought the ending was just fine. Some plot threads weren't wrapped up, no, but I thought that it was a great way to ease into the manga to finish the story.

I didn't think the ending sucked, but I was left wanting more. Problem is, I'm not really interested in manga. What I really want is a second season of the anime (which, from what I've heard, isn't that likely).

Still, it wasn't a bad ending. I just prefer to have romantic plot threads wrapped up more tidily than that.

Putting the word "sex" in the title of the first episode of a show is pretty much the best way to get me interested in it.

I wish this were true, but I think Funimation labels things by season that way even if there is only one season. I still hope there's a shot at a second season, but I wouldn't assume that.

This. There's been no news or announcement of a second season. Anywhere.

Brains Base typically does one show per season and they've already got a show for each season for the rest of the year, so I wouldn't count on any second seasons to be announced anytime soon.
