Hi Everyone ^_^

Postby daturaonfire » Sun Feb 13, 2011 6:53 am

I've occasionally stopped in here before, but just recently got around to joining. ...those emoticons are really triggering my ADD. :dance: <--- I'm supposed to focus on writing an intelligble intro with that? Seriously? Ha, anyway, I don't watch much anime anymore but I still really love Japanese culture, especially the music. I'm in school, taking my second semester of Japanese from a Russian guy who really likes kanji. Which...I should probably be studying instead of goofing off in iTunes J...but there's katakana to read, so that's like studying. Right? :sweat:

Welcome to CAA! I'm glad you decided to finally join up, we're all happy to have you here I'm sure!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What music do you like? I kinda fell off the J-rock/J-pop bandwagon but I still really like L'Arc-en-Ciel and Gackt (well, his older stuff anyway).

Thank y'all for the welcome. ^_^ I look forward to hanging out and getting to know everyone. @ShiroiHikari: I have a ton of j-pop/rock, but my favorites are Ai Otsuka (socutex.x), School Food Punishment, Plastic Tree, and Miyavi. I wonder if he and Gackt will ever re-start that band they briefly had--too bad they didn't record anything before getting too busy... Did you just get kinda tired of j-pop? I still like it, but j-rock fandom is starting to get on my nerves. I learned the hard way to stay away from Miyavi fandom in particular. x.o

Welcome
And this I pray, that your love would abound still, more and more with real knowledge and all discernment. Be prepared to preach the gospel at a moment's notice. Do you know the gospel well enough to do so yourself? Be ready.

I've never heard of School Food Punishment. o:

I used to like Miyavi a bit. I never did get to hear any of the stuff he did with Gackt D: Was that the group that also had the guy from Luna Sea...? Or was it Yoshiki? I can't remember. XD

I also liked Plastic Tree but I haven't heard anything of theirs in a long time-- my favorite song by them is totally Chiriyuku Bokura <3

And yeah, J-rock fans are...o_O I did get kind of tired of trying to find new music, because my friend that was my "source" dropped off the face of the earth. >_>

SFP's a pop-electronica band; their song 'Futari Umi no Soko' was the outro for Eden of the East, I believe. (Not their best song, I think, but it's pretty.)

I've been trying to decide whether or not to brave the fangirls and go looking for footage from the S.K.I.N concert; I believe it was Yoshiki, Gackt, Miyavi, and Sugio. Gackt confirmed that Miyavi is as crazy as he acts onstage. XD

Plastic Tree just released a new single that is the definition of awesome. Which album is Chiriyuku Bokura off of? *has a couple hundred yen left at iTunes* I can never keep their discography straight.

Sorry about your friend; I had someone do the same thing to me a couple years ago. It really sucks. =\

@risa
Thank you for the welcome. = ) I'm hoping the studies go well enough that I can do the exchange program in my junior year. My all-time favorite anime is still Cowboy Bebop. I'm beginning to think it probably always will be, or at least until I finally get around to watching Eva. = )

I think Chiriyuku Bokura is from the Troimerai album (I don't think I spelled it right XD).
