To introduce myself, You ask a question and I'll ask you a question

Postby Seto_Sora » Sat Dec 25, 2010 3:09 pm

Hullo all, I haven't been around for a bit. But I'm back and I thought it would be neat to introduce myself once more to any new members and friends I made before. I thought this thread would be more helpful than raising my old one. So its simple, y'all, ^_^ You ask a question about me, I'll answer and then I'll ask you a question, probably along the same lines as the one you asked me. ^_^
So let me introduce myself, I am Patrick, a writer and poet. I am not an illustrator like my talented brother who is around here. Rather, I write stories. Currently, we are working on some collaborative projects. Since I have been here last, I have brushed up on some Anime and Manga (not near as much as I would like) and have learned a great deal of fun things. I also read a great deal and enjoy literary classics, classical music, Christian Rap and Hip Hop, and lots and lots of mecha! ^_^ But the one I love most is my beloved Lord, Jesus Christ, my savior! So yeah, I get deep into theology. LOL Well, that might summarize me in a nutshell. I look forward to meeting you all.

Merry Christmas, you having a good christmas this year?
And this I pray, that your love would abound still, more and more with real knowledge and all discernment. Be prepared to preach the gospel at a moment's notice. Do you know the gospel well enough to do so yourself? Be ready.

Merry Christmas to you too! Atria! I hope you are doing well and having a very merry Christmas. ^_^ And yes, I am the one with a Fiance! :) And we had a date but things outside of our control have possibly postponed it! No matter! ^_^ We are trusting in the Lord! Did you have a merry Christmas? How is life? Hmmm... here is a question, what anime are you following now?
Hullo Furen, I believe I am having a merry Christmas. How about you? How did you spend your Christmas?

Thank you Tamachan! ^_^ And merry Christmas to you too! ^_^ Yes, I do like Classical music. My favorite composers are Chopin and Tchaikovsky. What are yours? And your screen name sounds familiar to an anime character... I think. Can I ask which character, or from which anime?

ROTFL!!! True that! Nice to meet you again rocklobster! ^_^

My favorite writers? Of all time it has to be Tolstoy or Jane Austen. If you are referring to Manga, I don't remember his name, but I really liked the dude who wrote TriGun. Ha! My turn, what is your favorite author? Do you like Classic Lit? And my favorite animal would probably be... uh... the horse... on, wait, the cat, meybe the dog... uhm. I have no idea! ^_^

Ah, classical music... :) Nice!

You're a poet and writer, yes? What are your favorite subjects to write about, or what do you find yourself writing most often?

Yes, thank you. Sadly, just like an artist, I can be a tad vain... or long-whinded when it comes to my art. ^_^ But I will try not to bore you. My favorite subjects aren't the typical "love" and "heartbreak" themes. I do write about love, but usually about the Love of Our Lord and His Grace. Or I will write about my lack of love for Him and those around me. At least, that is a theme that is churning within just now. I feel I must write a poem about true love and how I don't love enough those around me, least of all my Lord above]http://www.scribd.com/Patrick_Eklektos[/url] If you are interested. :? But now my turn! ^_^ Do you do an art form? If so, what kind?

Thank you! ^_^ Hmmm... the best poem I have ever read was probably a Longfellow poem about his children or Sir Walter Scott's Lochinvar. The best poems I have been told that have created were "Love" or "Prelude to a Christmas Ballad" (or so everyone tells me, its not my personal fav). My personal favorites the I have written are "The Beautiful", "The Golden Wagon", "The Bachelor", and "I Never Wore A Mask".

Thank you for the welcome! ^_^ And it is so nice to meet you too risa.
My favorite anime are TriGun, Fruits Basket, and Darker Than Black (in that order! ^_^)
My brother really got me into anime. He is the artist in the family and he took to the anime style. I was skeptical at first... knda like what I thought about poetr... and rap... lol but now I really like it! XD
And what makes a good anime is a solid story (I'm the story teller in the family), so its complicated story lines and its deep and very richly three dimensional characters make a good anime. Art is ok, but I can watch a good story in Anime with an artistic style I don't like. I love the stories and characters! XD

XD Yes, I have tried pandora and it was really cool!
I have never read S.E. Hinton. Who is he? or what has he written.
Ah! And the chap in the avitar is one of my favorite anime/manga anti-heroes of all time! Shinomori Aoshi! from one of my favorite mangas of all time Rurouni Kenshin! XD

S.E. Hinton is a she. Her most famous books are:
The Outsiders
That Was Then This is Now
(sort of a POV sequel to The Outsiders, since Ponyboy is a supporting character in both)
Tex
Rumblefish
Taming the Star Runner

(books 1-4 have been turned into great movies)
1. Ever watch Heroman?
2. Favorite superhero?

So sorry I have been away here in the last bit of time. Life has its way thrusting us through mountains and valleys. ^_^ But as long as I stay away from video games, I think I'll be good. LOL ^_^ Sorry guys for the wait.

TG, yes, I love to dance! am crazy about it! It is incredibly rejuvinating for myself, relaxing, whatever, I just love it! I dance ballroom though, so I don't know if that is what you mean. I don't breakdance... yet. LOL I just do the Waltz, some Foxtrot and Twostep, but I excel at Swing and Nightclub Twostep (just because that was my instructors pride and joy and wanted to teach it me). LOL I guess I have poured too much into this answer, but I am really passionate about it. Oh yeah, and I can do a very little ECD.
The meaning of life is Christ and Christ alone! He is my soul purpose, as well as the one and only purpose of all! All that exists is for to bring Him Worship! And He is my everything! Without Him, I am nothing! XD (wow, you hit on some of my most passionate subjects bro ^_^)
As to Trekie, I am not a die hard fan. sorry. I am proficient knowledgebly in some of the series and my favorite is a tossup between Voyager and TNG... I just like the characters of TNG but I liked that Voyager resolved. I do have fond memories of growing up watching the show with my dad. But no, I am not a Trekie. :(

Interesting, I may have to look into those books. I have alot on my schedule right now though, from Dostoevsky and Tolstoy to Washington's Spies, to Aliens and their relevance to our Christian faith. ^_^
My favorite Superhero would have to be Spiderman (because I see in him the struggle of man within himself; a fascinating theme) or Rorschach just because he was just so awesome and uncompromising, and he had the best superhero outfit ever. XD

I have not seen Excalibur all the way through, just part and before I began studying out the legends. However now it would really fascinate me. Is it a good movie?
And yes, I like dragons alot! What Arthurian Romance is there without Dragons? ^_^ Well, come to think of it, I can't thank of any just now. LOL But I also think that dragons were/are real. I hold to the Creationist view that dinosaurs as we see them today were yesterday's dragons. I also don't think they are all dead. We just haven't found them all yet... or aren't opening our eyes to them. And yes, I love gryphons! they are sooo cool! I like them so much that I will wear them on my cloths! ^_^

I used to read Garfield, Family Circle, Peanuts, and Dilbert. But I don't much read the Newspaper anyway. ^_^
My favorite Christian musicians are Lecrae, Sho Baraka, Trip Lee, Json, Shai Linne, Flame, Ambassador and many many others from the Reformed Rappers like from Crossmovement Records, Lampmode Recordings, and Reach Records. Gimme dat Jesus Muzik!
Uhm... secular musician, aside from Classical composers I suppose you mean? In that case, I like some of Weird All and I like this guy LukHash. He is a mix between rock and 8bit. ^_^
