School

Okay, so basically, I was doing worse in school than I thought I was doing- a lot worse. I had dropped a course that was too advanced for me earlier this year, so I needed to stick in the other courses for credit hours, even though I was struggling in them.

And today, I found out that my GPA for it all was low enough that I was academically dismissed.

I need prayer so that I can have the courage to tell my parents, that I'll be able to sign up for the courses at the community college that I need, that my parents will be able to let me move back in with them while I take the courses at the community college, and that I will be able to go back to my college this coming fall.

My mom was really relieved when I told her, because when I broke down crying she honestly thought I had come home pregnant!

But overall, they've taken it.... surprisingly well. And are willing to support me through this.

Thanks, guys. I'm about ready to sign up for classes at my community college, and have started moving back in. It's highly disappointing, but I'll live.

UPDATE: God may be blessing me this semester- I just recieved a call from my university about my petition to get back in. I had filed one due to a few extenuating circumstances that had hindered me scholastically (missing classes due to fear of safety when the girl was murdered behind my apartents, not being able to afford one of my texts).

Tomorrow I have an appointment to talk with an advisor about staying enrolled there.

I might be too late to get into any classes this semeter- heck, they might be calling me in to say that they've rejected my petition- but right now I have a vague hope that I might be able to stay in.

Please pray that things will go well tomorrow!

I can't thank all of you enough. It really touches me that you've all been so kind!

God blessed me greatly- I have been allowed back in! It did require a long talk about my career and college plans, and I've ended up changing my major. Even so, this is definitely going to be a change for the better. I think it was a wake-up call that I wasn't on the right path.

Now the only hurdle is that my immunization reports apparently aren't complete, and the rest won't be sent until -after- the school year starts. I'm going to be seeing if there is anything I can do to speed it up. I'll be trying until the end!

Sorry for the double-post-

I'm back in officially! They're giving me a second chance. I have to retake some of my classes, and get a B average in all the classes I'm taking this semester, but I think I'll be alright. i made sure not to overlaod myself with too much, and ended up with some classes I know I'll enjoy!

Whoa, I'm pretty late on posting here, but congratulations Atria! I'm really glad they let you back in and gave you a second chance. I'm sure things will go better this time around.
