Exhaustion/school

Postby Sheenar » Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:34 pm

So, today, my dog Handsome and I competed in Rally Novice in a local dog show. I had been worried about his obedience some and if he would make it as a service dog.
Well, we not only got a qualifying score --but we got a third place ribbon! :D

But now I am very exhausted. All I did today was the dog show (after a quick trip to Petsmart.) It's been like that a lot lately --I'll just have little to no energy left after only a few errands or some activity. I was planning to work on a paper tonight (I have 4 papers to do within 2 weeks' time), but my brain and body are so exhausted that I'm just gonna go lie down since I have one more day at the dog show tomorrow (hoping to get a 2nd leg for Handsome's RN title.)

So I am pretty nervous about finishing this semester. Not even finishing it well, but finishing at all. I'm so tired so much of the time. And it's frustrating.

Please pray for me to have the focus and energy to get these last assignments finished and to study to do well on my final exams. In one of my classes, I'm borderline (have a C average when I need at least a B for grad school) --even though I've studied and worked very hard. I am so afraid that I'll be a grad-school flunk out because of some stupid chronic illness that I can't control.

I can only do this with the Lord's help. I am desperate.

Well, Handsome got another qualifying score today at the dog show, so he now has 2 legs out of the 3 needed for his Rally Novice title!

I have youth group from 4-6 (I am an adult volunteer.) Then I am hoping to come home and do some serious work on my paper.

Please pray that I'll have the energy, focus and discipline to get through these last projects and finish the semester well. :)

I had several hours today to work on one of my papers and I blew it. Spent the whole time just browsing the net and goofing off. Only found 1 journal article out of the 5 I need for the paper. And it's due on Thursday.

Guess tonight will be a late night (if Mom isn't on the computer.)

I don't know why I can't seem to discipline myself lately. This isn't like me.

After having a headache for most of the day (and it turning into a migraine this evening), I still feel awful. I don't want to sound like all I do is complain. I am just frustrated that this chronic illness --whatever it is --is running my life. I have to plan out every last little detail of my day --and don't even get everything accomplished that I planned to because my body just plain decides to up and quit for the day.

I am 25 years old, for crying out loud. I am tired of being sick. It sucks. Driving to church and stopping at the store on the way home should not exhaust me to the point that it did tonight.

I can't do any more tonight, so I'm heading to bed. I hope to get my paper done tomorrow. Hopefully I can work on it some at work.

I hope everything goes well for you. Sometimes it's best not to overexert yourself. It can make you more sick.

I have great news! My department chair has given me until January 5th to finish the assignents for my In Progress class!

So now I can breathe! Thank you Jesus! :D

I'm going to pace myself over the break --work a little each day --and I'll be done with those 2 papers in no time! I already have outlines done for both and all my journal articles for both. So all that's left to finish is to type 'em up!

:D

Congrats on you passing! I hope you do well in everything else.

I don't know if this might help or not, but I think I've found this passage helpful when I've felt stressed out and overwhelmed by things (it's from the Amplified Bible):

What then shall we say to [all] this? If God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?] He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?

Who shall bring any charge against God's elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]
Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?
Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter.

"Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,
Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:31-39)

Hope that helps, and remember, God's always here to lean on!
