Bomb Threat

Postby Sheenar » Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:29 am

Received the following messages from the university:

WARNING: An incident at the Newton Gresham Library has required the evacuation of the Library. Please avoid this area of campus and check back on the website for instructions and updates as they occur.

‎1:20pm - A note was found at the Newton Gresham Library indicating a bomb was planted on the third floor of the building. The building has been evacuated and the police are examining the area for any potential devices.

I am currently on campus working (my building is on the opposite side of campus from the library.) Please pray for the safety of everyone and that this is resolved soon (and that they find whoever left the threat.)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Snickerdoodles! That really is scary. I remember how frightened I was the first time we got a bomb threat at my high school. I'll be ptaying!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

NIV, Romans 8:38-39.

2:10 P.M. - An "All Clear" has been issued by the University Police Department regarding the bomb threat at Newton Gresham Library. The building is in the process of being re-opened.

Thanks for the prayers! Praise God it all turned out okay. :)
