Not much I'm afraid. I tend not to eat those.

Least enjoy? Hmm...I do not like coffee flavors at all. Coconut and cheesecake-based things aren't my thing either.

1. I take it you're probably a LOTR fan too. Who's your favorite character?
2. Who do you think would win in a fight--Gandalf or Merlin?
3. Who do you think is the best composer in American movies among these choices: John Williams, Alan Silvestri, or Danny Elfman?

1. Probably Gandalf the Grey.
2. I don't know. They're both very powerful wizards, and there's so many different interpretations of Merlin's character. I think if they fought the world would suffer a devestating blow.
3. Hmm, that is indeed a difficult choice. I'm gonna say Danny Elfman though, since his music is so evocative.

2. Ever listen to Blind Guardian? (They've done an entire album of LOTR songs called Nightmare on Middle-Earth

1. A little bit, and I believe you told me about their LOTR songs.
2. No, are they good?
3. I've only read/watched as far as the third book/movie. The first was the best. I don't feel a lot of motivation to continue for some reason.

Yes, Blind Guardian is one of the best Power Metal bands I've heard. Let me put their sound this way: imagine LOTR as a rock opera.
What are your top 10 favorite carols? If you don't have 10 favorites, just give me all of them.

Top tens are very hard. At least as hard as normal favorites. But I think I can answer this to some extent.

My favorite of all is probably O Come Emmanuel, though it's not exactly a carol. Let's see if I can list some others...
Silent Night
God Rest Ye Merry
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
Mary Did You Know
(Also not exactly a carol but oh well)
O Little Town of Bethlehem
We Three Kings
Joy To the World
I Wonder As I Wander

And there's also one we sing in choir called Hark How the Bells that requires four-part harmony, so it can't be sung by oneself.
These are not ordered though. It'd be too difficult a task to order them.

Do you often find yourself using big words when small ones would be more preferable? (I've done it sometimes myself)

I have only seen half of the original series and the latest movie, so I can't really judge between the versions.

Do you have any favorite alternative music acts, like Coldplay, Nirvana, or Smashing Pumpkins?

That entirely depends on how you define alternative. I haven't heard more than a little of the above acts. If you count video game remixes or vocaloid music as "alternative"...well then, quite a few.

alternative meaning bands that don't get much airplay on top 40 radio. That's traditionally what it means.
1. Did you ever watch Quantum Leap? What'd you think?
2. Ever play Chrono Trigger? What'd you think?

(I thought I had this replied to several days ago, but I hadn't! Sorry for the delay.)

In that case pretty much all the music I like is alternative. In fact, almost all music in general is alternative. I think the radio is actually kind of tyrannical that way.

I haven't seen Quantum Leap. Is it good?
I have played Chrono Trigger almost all the way through to the end. It was a PS1 port, and one of the (irrelevant) sidequests refused to be finished correctly and I was demoralized and stopped. :| But I liked what I played of it, though there were perhaps some slight balance issues in the system.

Quantum Leap is a show about a time traveller who goes through time trying to "set right what once what wrong". The catch though is that he does it by replacing the person he's helping. It stars Scott Bakula and is very good. I think NBC has it on their site and the whole series is on DVD. It was created by David Bellasario, who also created NCIS, Magnum P.I., and Jag (among lots of others).
1. Favorite J-pop artists?
2. Ever read any Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, or Robert Heinlein?
3. Funniest live-action movie you've ever watched?

2. Just I, Robot and its sequels.
3. Probably What's Up, Doc?

1. Akira. It had nice animation, but it just wasn't my thing.
2. Fumika from Shigofumi, one of my favorite anime titles that I always forget about.
3. I believe I've been asked for my favorite horror films before:
Midori wrote:Hmm, that's difficult. I haven't seen a lot of horror films. However totally-not-based-on-the-book it was, it had something going for it. Although,
I don't think the doctor should have survived in the end. :]
2. Do you still have any toys you played with as a kid?
3. Did you ever wish you could kill the dog in Duck Hunt?

1. Probably the cast of Toradora. They're just so fun and interesting. The Durarara crowd would also be great.
2. I have a few...primarily the NES. :) I've also got a collection of legos and a box of old stocking-stuffers and a few board games.
3. YES Oh man who hasn't! I've wasted so many bullets on that dog.

1. I don't know if I like the term 'born into' it, but if it just means my family have always been Christians then yes.
2. Not that I recall, though I've read some clever quotes of his.
3. Sometimes. It depends on whether the message of the story is 'there is hope even in the worst circumstances' or 'there is no hope whatsoever'.

1. A little. I sang an adaptation of one of their songs in a college choir class.
2. C.S.Lewis probably.
3. Not a bit.
4. Some, though I don't remember anything about it. I probably liked it but didn't think it was the ultimate form of musical expression.

Hmm, this is a hard question, and it's the main reason it's taken me so long to reply. It's not a bad question, though. Give me a little more time so I can decide, okay? Mostly I just need to find an extended period of time where I can wear headphones, which I have not been having.

I can give one piece of info though, which is that it'll probably be a song that doesn't have lyrics.
