Hey. Kinda a person prayer.

Hey Guys. I know, second prayer thread in 1 week. I just want to ask for a personal prayer. Of late, I've seen myself as coming across as more and more arrogent and selfish. I really don't want to be that person. I don't want to even apear arrogent. I guess It may come from the fact that I've never liked myself much. I feel like I have to show superior knowledge to make up for it sometimes. Ya know? Anyway, even now Im wondering if this thread is selfish in the wrong ways. XD maybe I'm overpareniod. But yeah... could you guys pray that I keep a good and humble heart?

I'm sorry if I've contributed to this feeling. Just so you know, I've been that way, too, and probably was a lot worse- I was the most arrogant and obnoxious little brat when I was younger.

Praying that you start feeling better about yourself, since that's what you think is the root cause of it.

But I wouldn't worry too much, arrogance tends to be a byproduct of teenagerdom, and usually starts passing by the time you hit college.

Thanks guys. Yesterday just brought up a lot of frustrations that's all. I know I'm young, I'm ignorant on a lot of things. I never EVER want people to think I'm just talking without any knowledge. I try so hard to back up all I say with facts, and not opinion. I always wonder that if I use all of my sources and try and share all that I know, that people will think I'm showing off and arrogent... In truth I'm really not! I want to provide as much proof as I can. But people many times in the past have taken me as arrogent. So upon thinking about it, maybe it's true.

I want to go into Christian Counceling and Youth Ministry, a career path that means I HAVE to let God speak through me. If I'm being arrogent and opinionated, thenI can't hear God. So I really really want to lose this. Even if it's a small seed of arrogence. I don't want this. I want to live for Christ and not my opinions.

I try so hard to listen to the other side of an argument. And if I am prooven wrong I'll almost always try and admit I was wrong. I don't ever want to be right. I WANT THE TRUTH. But obviously, I tend to not be like that a lot. and I just hope that God can help me to be humble.

ANYWAY. Sorry XD Rant mode off now.

Just so you know, from living with you TG you havent come across as arrogent most of the time. Except on rare occasion.... but yeah. Youre awesome and you arent arrogent to me.
Of course, if you fel that you need to work on that, and if you feel thats whats needed, then I'll of course pray for you buddy.

Yeah.. I'm getting the feeling God is starting to work. Because already I've been given a the same advice. My dear bff Steenajack gave me the exact same message. We'll see if God continues to tell me this. I love it when you can almost feel God giving you an answer. Thanks guys... a lot.

TG you may be arrogant sometimes, but you're also one of the kindest, loving, faithful, God loving people I've ever talked to. I think if your sis said you aren't arrogant (or are rarely) I think you aren't (she would be one of the first to tell XD). However, I know myself that people who are teens tend to be a little arrogant (I am sometimes... O_O;). I love you brother.

And yeah... I think it may be a teen thing.... I'd still rather not be a know it all. I hate that. I'd rather not be the kind of person a dislike most lol.
