Good News/Prayer Request

Postby Sheenar » Mon Nov 15, 2010 9:28 pm

I have some good news! I got a job! :D
I had my interview today and was hired on the spot! *happy dance*
I will be working for a local company selling knives. :)

I also have a couple of quick prayer requests. I am still not feeling well --and the deadlines for papers/projects are quickly approaching. Please pray that I will have the discipline and time management necessary to get everything done that I need to --and the energy as well.

Also, please pray for me to make the right decision concerning my service dog in training. Though he is doing well in his training overall so far (and is retrieving very nicely!), he has started exhibiting some behaviors that have me concerned. I sent a message to our trainer and am waiting to hear back from her to get her suggestions/make a time to meet together. Handsome really is a great dog, so I am hoping these things are something we can overcome. I'd hate to wash him out --he learns so quickly and has a great work ethic. But I still want to make the right decision.

Lastly, one of my friends recently broke up with his girlfriend. The whole situation has been very bitter between the two of them. He is really upset because of how things went down. Please pray for them.

Thanks! I hope everyone is doing well. :)

:D God is good... in the happy times and the sad.
Praises to Him for taking care of you.
At the same time, I'll be praying that He'll take care of your friend and various other requests.

Turns out the company is a bit questionable --and there are some things about the job that they don't mention beforehand. I would stand to lose a good chunk of money having to buy a starter kit to do demos in order to sell product. If I don't sell, that money would be gone.

So, yeah...that's the end of that.

So I am back to square one. :/

I need a job and housing.

Thanks, Kelly, but I don't have a job after all. I am getting very tired of having to fight so hard just to survive. I want to be an independent adult and support myself --just about everything seems to be throwing obstacles in my way.
My counselor suggested that I try to locate an advocate/social worker to help me find work/housing/help with school. I have no idea where to start looking. Please be in prayer for that. I really need help.

So sorry to hear about the job- if it's any consolation, you're better off than my friend, who was sucked into one of those. Lost her investment.

I don't know if this is any help, but there is some info from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development:

While this is only an intro to the voucher program, maybe it can help lead to someplace where you'd be able to afford to live.
