Best Political Ad Ever

Postby Chrysolite » Sat Sep 18, 2010 9:16 am

Please be civil, people. I'm not trying to start up a political debate, I just wanted to share this with everyone because I thought it was, well... read title. ^-^ Probably the only political ad I've ever seen that was actually entertaining. :lol:

Eh. It was okay I guess. Maybe my complete disagreement with that ad prevented me from fully enjoying it. XD But I will make up for that by posting political ads EVERYONE can enjoy!

On that note, I'd like to state I will vote for any politician who promises to fund the engineering of a vending machine that takes crumpled dollar bills.

That was great. Maybe my complete agreement with that ad led me to enjoy it more than I should have, though.

That was decent.

However, the voiceover at the end was too slow.

We've tried but the problem is the vending machine industry is too powerful.

I'm not even joking.

The biggest reason the dollar coin hasn't and probably will never catch on is because vending machine companies don't want to spend money to have their machines take the dollar coins.

Having it be roughly the same size and weight as a quarter doesn't help either (because it makes it near impossible for blind people to tell it from a quarter).

I hate coins... They're too easy to lose.

Japan was terrible. The smallest bill is 1000 yen (about 11 bucks) There is a 500 yen coin... Terrible.

Except the 5 and 1 coins, Korea has all the same denominations, only in Won. In Korea, it actually makes sense because the won is worth less than 1/10th of the yen.

Umm...this isn't exactly a political ad, per se, but it's...an ad about...a politician...and I just really wanted to show it! :hits_self

<link snipped>

Mod Note: I think it would be best if we avoided this kind of political tension. CAA's rules on politics still stand, and this link goes beyond a humorous ad.

Yeah, I really have liked the vending machines that take credit and debit cards. Now I can get unhealthy snacks even if I don't have change in my pocket!
