Seen any IMAX movies?

Postby Bobtheduck » Mon Apr 26, 2004 5:20 pm

I only saw one... It was the Everest one... It's really sad, because some of their crew and some of the cast died while they were shooting it... All so that some people can see the view on a massive screen... Hmm...

Anyone seen any of these?

Yup, I've seen more than I can count. We have a big IMAX theater here in Houston that's pretty popular for field trips (and mom used to take us their on spring break). I saw the Everest one too.

We got a IMAX downtown San Antonio, but I've only gone once to see the Matrix...the original that was. Wow, that was really some time ago. You know..., now that I look back at it, I might have gone another time when I was really young. Like sometime during my middle school days, for a field trip I believe. I think it was Ring of Fire: yeah it was!

Uh...I wasn't talking to myself. I promise. > >

I have only seen the space station one narated by Tom Cruse.

We dont have an IMAX near where I live, so we caught it at the Palisades in NY.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I saw the Everest one too...while back now, I think that was when I lived in Maryland...during a school field trip. Pretty wild things.

I've seen Ghosts of the Abyss (about the Titanic) and somecrap called T-Rex:Back to the Cretatios. It was really bad. But I loved Ghosts of the Abyss. It's very sad.

They do have some nice movies at the Reuben H. Fleet in San Diego. I tend to get motion-sick when the camera goes wild, though
