I thought Garbage Pail Kids were kinda cool, if only for the sheer bizarre-ness of it.

Garbage pail kids sound disgusting.

Crazybones, what was the point of them?

I'd wager Russia was worse... The only difference being they got away with it because their number 1 enemy kept it under wraps themselves, to avoid open war.

And Asian boy / girl bands (of the 2PM and SNSD variety) are just as bad as their American counterparts.

I like boy bands! Except not the Backstreet boys, N*sync, stuff like that I find lame.

What about Brat dolls? I never like those things! Big lips and removable feet. Weird.

For the Backstreet Boys, Brian Littrell became a christian singer so it's all good:cool:

Actually no. It was a full on leather corset worn on the outside for decoration rather than Shatnerism.

It's not really a fad. Designer clothes always exist.

And there is in fact a difference in quality for a good number of designer clothes. Clothes from Kenneth Cole are tailored better and generally last longer than clothes from Wal-Mart or Target. But if you're going for the simple pragmatic route, then it doesn't really matter.

No Atria, didn't you know? Being Christian automatically makes you the best. That's why everyone on this site thinks that The Bible Game for PS2 is the best video game ever made, Superbook is the best anime ever made, and Brian Welch is the greatest musician ever. :p

This is what happened in real life.

I was talking to Princess Zelda about this thread. I read this post, and said, "Look! Worst fad of all time: Nazism."

To which Zelly replied, "Oh. I forgot that happened."

Also, one awful fad that I don't miss at all was the bumperstickers of Calvin peeing on stuff. And then the Christian version of Calvin kneeling at the cross.

Shame on you Zelda. Shame.

And yes, the Calvin rip-off bumperstickers were really lame. Like those peeing lawn ornaments. What is the point?

They're all from China anyway. No matter what, no one should spend $200 on jeans.

Ooh! I just thought of one!

There's this thing from Japan, these cartoons called "Anime".
Yeah, and they have comic books too!
That's not all, apparently, they have conventions where people dress up as their favorite characters and stuff.

I wonder when THAT fad will die out.
