Unless that's what you meant.
I just like a happy ending. lolol
So...
Uncorrupting Kerrigan, which they had hinted was impossible and, oh yeah, removes the one really interesting villain from the game along with retconning what happened to Tassadar and suggesting he didn't die on impact with the Overmind isn't undermining the story of Starcraft 1...because last time I checked, such epic retconning is. Also there's the whole Zerg moving from the role of chaotic evil to now being chaotic good under Kerrigan...which I'm sure Heart of the Swarm will be about...So, I must ask Blizzard, after the Hybrid/Xel Naga are dead...what's next for Starcraft? Your villains are gone. Also, while I'm on this tyraid, they took the incredibly predictable route with Tychus and I didn't like it. Had that not undid the corruption on Kerrigan and maybe had her weakened, we could have had a sort of standoff between Raynor and him that could make lead to a year and a half worth of debate as to who was right in that situation. And to finish it off, if Kerrigan is completely human now (and I will admit, this is the assumption I'm making), how is she going to be able to control the Zerg? This is something James and I discussed and the only answer we could come up with was that she will magically retain that ability from when she was corrupted...or become corrupted again before the end, which would make this series of games a huge Big Lipped Alligator moment.
I'm calling Blizzard out on this and say that this this group of writers are not nearly as gutsy as the writers in the first Starcraft games who really didn't hold any character as being sacred and gave the impression that anyone in that series could die. But now, no, we have to let the popular characters keep on living instead of making them pay for their crimes or, I don't know, have a moment when they remember their humanity and save the universe before dying (which would have been a much better way to tell this story then what Blizzard has done). Though, again, the story is well told.
