2. I don't even think Lady Gaga is wearing them in the music video. Her eyes were digitally altered to look that way.

let me speak on this subject. XD
1. i've seen this on ABC and i've read the article and let me just say as someone who wears these, most of the stuff they said is wrong.
I mean, yes, you can get infections with them, but that's the same thing with any sort of contact lens. If you don't clean them or put them in properly or take them out when they need to be taken out or anything of that sort, you do have a chance of hurting your eyes. but that's the same with prescription ones too. your eyes aren't going to fall out of your head if you wear these.
they are not FDA approved, but they are KFDA approved, which is the korean version of these lenses. the FDA also isn't this high and mighty god anyway. They often approve things that are super dangerous. XD]http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/hh312/ImaginationCake/Photo319.jpg[/IMG]
see the difference? XD
EDIT: Also, if you stick with the popular brands like GEO and EOS and such, you should be fine. GEO, for example, gives you a lot of information about your lenses. they tell you water content, BC, diameter, and shelf life.
