Changing job role

Hi everyone, I have a little sharing and a prayer request...

My boss at work has been my team leader for the past 4 years, and in total we have been working in the same team for around 7 years.

He has found a better job at another company and will be moving on very soon. In these past two weeks, he has been showing me all the tasks that he has to do regularly as the team leader, since I will be in his role when he leaves.

I have a lot of things that I need to learn how to do very quickly. It will also be outside of my comfort zone quite a lot since I am more of a hands-on guy (we do web development related work in the team), and many of the tasks my boss used to do involve managing projects, going to meetings, etc. It is an opportunity to grow and learn new skills, but at the same time I will miss the technical hands-on work (there just seems to be a never ending pile of emails I get at work nowadays...).

If you're able, please pray that God will give me wisdom and a calm mindset to take on board this new role. Thank you.
