Prayer for this weekend

This weekend I'm going on missions training for a missions trip I'm going on this summer to London. Please pray that it goes well, and God will use me and I will grow. Also that I will get along with the other people there.

Missions trip to London? When I was there, it seemed that there were quite a few Christians there (maybe they didn't go to Church every Sunday, but I didn't go every Sunday, either XD ). Regardless, good luck, and ..... okay, yes, I'm really curious, why London?

Well its not exactly a missions trip lol but that was the easiest way to describe it. I'm going there and staying at the local YWAM and working at a christian art festival to reach the people through art.

Ah! That makes more sense! Okay, tips for the trip- take twice as much money as you think you'll need (or as much as you can spare- TRUST me you'll need it because stuff is ALWAYS more expensive than people tell you it is!). Skip visiting Madame Trusseue's Wax Museum- it's overhyped and expensive. Go for the London Eye and the Tower of London. Best Deals There. And the theater scene is FABULOUS!!!!! See whatever shows you can- HIGHLY reccing Phantom of the Opera, Oliver, and Billy Elliot!

lol Thank you! I don't know how much site seeing I'll be doing. I think I'll be mostly on my own to be honest so I don't know lol

Even if you're on your own, though, as long as you don't go down any small side streets (which is really hard to do in London), you'll be perfectly fine. London is incredibly safe, even for us Americans

But I forgot to mention one thing- you can visit the rebuilt Globe Theater and see a Shakespearian play.... standing room is 5 pounds. Seriously cheap. Cheaper than most meals you'll be eating.

Even if you're on your own, the best thing I can say is please make time to sightsee- not many people get overseas due to the price, and to not enjoy one of the oldest cities in the modern world is criminal.

Good luck at London; to tell you the truth, they need missionaries just like the rest of the world. I've heard some wild stories about pastors who tried to reach people in England, and it always comes down to passion for the Lord that wins the day.

Well this was just training before we went to England so I didn't see any sights lol
But yea it was great. Before I had left for it that weekend I was having really bad self esteem problems, I always knew that God made us the way we are for a reason and we shouldn't hate ourselves or anything but I didn't really believe it till this weekend. Just really seeing that God made us the way we are for a reason. Its also kinda putting down God also to have such a low self esteem not saying we should be prideful lol but we should have confidence through God.
Also, for about two years now I have but thinking about going into ministry to people coming out of prostitution. I guess its kinda weird lol but I just feel really called to them and this weekend I felt like it was confirmed through many ways lol
