been a while since I posted anything at all in the entire forum....anyway...

I have a pre-interview thing tomorrow at this insurance type place. Or today rather...I had to request to get off early from work. I have a dark suspicion that when it's over and I return home and go across the street to get my schedule for the next work week (which starts on Thursdays) that either my boss would have thought to pull something or his boss would make him pull something even though they both appear to like me like everyone else there does. Even though his boss told me in small talk yesterday that "numbers" are good...I think that they both think that they are actually "bad" still as in no matter how good they could always be better.

I do know we're in a bad economy but still....it's ridiculous that...like ever since my current manager transferred into the restaurant two Novembers ago my hours have been gradually cut more than restored every few months.

My dark suspicion is that he and/or his boss would either be thinking "Oh he needs off early this Wed so let's save money by having him off at 12:30 on Wednesdays INDEFINATELY!" or even go as far as "he's going to a pre-interview so since he possibly could get the job let's sack him and save our labor."

Me having a court date to finish up making my will legal later this month isn't making it any easy either since for THAT I requested an entire day off with a promise that if I get it done early enough then maybe I can come in and work a little.

If I get my hours cut just because I leave early to go to even a pre-interview, then that would just be brilliant...especially since my birthday is around the corner. It'll be like "Happy <BEEEEEEP>-ing Birthday..."

ummm someone hasn't paid attention to my siggie...or hasn't seen the Matrix enough to catch I was referring to myself as a blackpill.

Anyway I got there early and the one email said only "business attire" but when I got there and signed in the receptionist said I looked ok but a few minutes later some others were going down the back hallway and I was asked if I needed help and I said I was there for the 2 PM. The one lady asked if I realized I needed business professional and I was like "I thought this was ok" but it actually wasn't....so I had to reschedule. Told my aunt that Tim wouldn't like this but then she realized that I could always try to get it to the court day so I wouldn't need to ask for more time off.

When I went back to work to check schedule I was relieved that he didn't pull a fast one and cut my hours.

Business casual. Business professional is more what you have there but with a tie and blazer/suit jacket/whatever you wish to call it.

Eek! Sorry for the misunderstanding & my ignorance of your siggie joke. I'm so used to finding out members using different names &/or nicknames then their CAA username that I just assumed you were one as well.

I decided not to do it coz I couldn't reschedule the reschedule for the same day I'd have to go to court to do with my will. They only do Wednesdays. Thanks guys
