Humble Request

Postby Okami_Kunoichi » Wed Apr 28, 2010 12:54 pm

I have a hard time asking for prayer..to be honest, God and Me are just learning how to talk more. But..well sometimes i gotta let that pride go aside if I can.

I have a lot of medical issues. Most of which are not diagnosed and well trying to get teaching hospitals and a few other places to maybe look into my case. So i guess i need prayer for that.

Also if you could pray someone would donate a wheelchair for me, that would be really appreciated. I know somehow God hears this. I just..don't think I'm worth much to get the help. SO maybe prayer on that too. That maybe I can talk to God more, which I have trouble with.

Thank you all very much for reading this and thank you more if you pray for me.

Will be praying as well ^^

Is there like some type of family service place around there or something like that? There should be a pace that should be able to help with getting a wheelchair and hopefully the other things ^^

I am proud that you were able to ask for the prayer and help.
I will be praying for you.

Please send me a message about the wheelchair - I think I can help. I just need some details, and things'll hopefully turn out.

Wow...I never thought I would get this response. Thank you so much for praying...it really means more than you know and truly humbles me. I'm not used to people caring...no offense to anyone here, but especially those who are Christian. I am a believe myself..but I've been burned more times than i can count. I guess that's humans for you.

ANyways thank you so much for praying. Please continue to. I have a spinal tap tomorrow and I have a feeling its going to hurt.

Lifting you up in prayer. Thanks for sharing.

It probably sounds cliche', but remember God loves you and sees you as His beautiful child whom He created in His image. Be encouraged, my sister.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

I am going to add one more thing...sorry i guess when i get the courage to ask..it kinda all spills out. I am basically a cripple. I am using a cane but need the wheelchair as stated above. I am also 22.

I know this sounds stupid...but I'm afraid no guy is ever going to want someone like me. So maybe prayer that if i'm going to be single my entire life...God let's me be content with that.

Kunoichi, please message me on the health issue - I think I can help you get a wheelchair, but otherwise, I'll simply keep praying.

I hope all goes well with the spinal tap!

Awww, I'm sorry about all of that!! :[

I will be keeping you in my prayers!!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us most. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and famous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in all of us. And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Try looking up your local Health and Human Services office --they can help you apply for benefits such as Medicaid and determine if you qualify. Also try contacting the SSA and see if you qualify for Social Security benefits. Your local Department for Assistive and Rehabilitative Services/Rehab Commission is another resource to consider.

Medicaid paid for my walker. I receive SSI to supplement my income since I cannot work full-time. There are resources out there to help. It never hurts to ask. :)

Spinal taps are not fun --I had one during Christmas break. Please let me know if I can do anything for you or if you need to talk. I have been in the same boat, sister.

Remember that you are greatly loved by God and that your disability is there to bring Him glory (see the story of the man born blind in John 9).
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

I've actually looked into this. Due to being a dependent financially I do not qualify for medicaid, for the assistance part, I'm finding it is that same reason. I'm going to be looking into food stamps however and see what they say. I am applying for SSD/SSI but they do not have a diagnosis for me medically so its causing issues in that area.

I'm sorry you also struggle with illnesses and Thank you for the story. Read it recently. I'm not so concerned with what can come out of this, I know it will be for God's glory, just stinks going through it all the same.

for the rest, an update has been I went to Emergency room via ambulance twice last week, 1st time for stroke symptoms, 2nd time to seizure symptoms where I nearly had a heart attack (literally). They let me go home (no idea why under those circumstances). I am told that by my orthepedic, pain mgmt doctor believes that i have MS or muscular dystrophy. I won't know more until the spinal tap comes in. Please pray that the spinal tap shows something! Anything that could give a clue to this.

Thanks and God bless

Seems like you have a lot on your plate. I can definitely agree that people often disappoint. Fortunately there are still a few people in this world that do genuinely care for others and can look past the things we see with our eyes. I can honestly say from experience that the people here truly do care.

I will keep you in prayers and that God will help take care of your needs- spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially. Keep strong.
