Let's play Oregon Trail!

Have a video game or or VG review? This is the place to to discuss it! We also accept discussions of board games and the like, but SHHH! Don't tell anyone, OK?

It's from covering the evidence... Her conscience is finally catching up to her. And I want to see the trail log from the day before he dies. That promises to be good. XD

Also, RD has exhaustion from carrying all that food back to the wagon. Or from burying the dead bodies. >_>]

I now have a mental image of Fish sitting in the back of a covered wagon, bellowing commands at a harried RD. "Make me a sandwich, wench! Dig a grave for these corpses! Go out and shoot some buffalo! etc., etc." Poor gal. Fish truly is a harsh master.

My prediction? Everyone dies in the "rafting the Columbia" sequence.

Oh we totally buried the bodies (or at least held memorials) in a dramatic fashion. This wouldn't be Oregon Trail if we didn't add a little bit of dramatic flair to it! XD

Are you suggesting murder, sir? I can only accept this theory if your culprit is the evil, conniving Matt, and not my (clearly exhausted) self. XDD

I told you the Shoshone would get you across Snake River with no troubles. Still sorry about Gear :(. *Cries*
K. Ayato: What happens if you press the small red button?

*Explosion goes off in the movie*

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.

Of course you're exhausted, RD. Murder is hard work.

Hey, when did Inspector Lunge join CAA? RD is innocent, I tell you. And so is Dr. Tenma!

Journal Entry- August 14, 1848-

After crossing Snake River, I noticed a small scrap of paper dropped by the Shoshoni "guide". Deftly scooping it up, and into my pocket, I have only now found the time to read it.

You find a small, crinkled piece of paper wedged between the pages

....if they refuse to make the suitable payments, kill them one by one and take everything back to the shop. There will always be other travelers eager to buy some moderately used supplies.

-Matt

P.S.
I have a meeting to attend to in Oregon, so I expect this all to be taken care of by the time I return.

The journal entry continues on the following page

This is the solid evidence needed to finally end this cycle of greed and blood. The three of us that remain have agreed that upon reaching Ore~---

I may not live through this, so I leave the evidence, hoping that my companions will recover it. I will lead them as far away from here as possible. Godspeed.
"It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

As only a couple people know, since I've kind of kept it hush hush, my computer had a spyware attack last week, leading me to wipe my drive. Unfortunately, I was unable to salvage the remainder of my unedited Oregon Trail screenshots, since they were simply too large in filesize to uploaded en masse to anywhere I could pull them from later. Suffice to say, it is a sad day

On the plus side, I remember the gist of the rest of the trip, which I will now recount for your reading pleasure.

Corrie outlived just about everybody until just after the next fort, after which she broke her leg and promptly died the very next day. After this I, as the caravan leader, came down with an illness and was reduced to a snails crawl of oxen dying repeatedly and people filching my stuff in the middle of the night. Ultimately, however, I survived the rough and barren trip to Oregon, despite (1) a supply error that would have starved me to death if I had arrived a single day later, (2) more oxen dying, and (3) the entire wagon SPONTANEOUSLY BURSTING INTO FLAME not two days outside Oregon.

My score was not particularly good.

So thank you for joining us, dear viewers, as at least one of us succeeded in arriving safely at our destination, Oregon.

Well, I know how it ends, so that's what counts.

Too bad for the spyware though. Was the damage bad? Or did you have backups?

Wait, really? We want to put Fish through losing all his wagon members to illogical circumstances, bandits stealing his personal belongings/food while he lay sick, his wagon spontaneously combusting, and almost dying....AGAIN?

"OREGON TRAIL" CRIME RING BUSTED

Image

Matt (Pictured), an enterprising shop keeper turned crime lord will be publicly hung on the 26th of September for the death of hundreds.

The "Oregon Trail" crime ring has been brought to justice by a group of five courageous vigilantes. The group set out from Independence, Missouri on the first of March, planning to travel along the Oregon Trail. They would slowly gather evidence along the way to bring the evasive crime lord down once and for all.

Their complex, multi-stage strategy involved faking their own deaths, one by one, all according to Matt's normal homicidal patterns. In truth, each had their own task to attend to. Those that had "died" would follow the caravan, watching for members of the crime syndicate. blkmage and Solid Ronin, the first to fall, captured over 25 of Matt's top men. As for Cognitive, RD, and Fish, their job was to distract and discover the current whereabouts of the Oregon Trail crime ring's leader.

Once they had discovered the location of Matt, the rest of the caravan fell to fictitious deaths. The group slowly and covertly regrouped.

Disguising themselves as Matt's cronies, the group brought him to justice inside of his Oregon City mansion.

We asked Matt's wife, Matilda, to comment on her husband's capture. "Had Matt's reconnaissance been better, he would have known that no bodies were ever buried. I tried to tell him to hire better thugs, but he never listens to me. Maybe if he had he wouldn't be scheduled for a hang. The shop will be better off in my hands."
