Panic attack

Postby Aedin » Mon Feb 01, 2010 3:21 pm

Had a big panic attack today. Was dragged out shopping for hours, and I was just surrounded by people for so long, nad it just kept reminding me how I've never been able to make friends in this town. Everyone I meet either leaves, or aren't a good friend, or like to go out and party a lot or whatever, and it just made me feel so alone, made me feel like there's no hope. I'm trying to keep faith that GOd will send me friends, and the kind of relationship I want, but I keep seeing people, it keeps reminding me how alone I am, and I Just can't take it anymore. I hate being alone, I hate having to sit in front of a computer to talk to people, I wish I could text people, or hang out in person, or something, yet I've never been able to find those kind of people here in my town. JUst been on the verge of tears for literally like five hours today. And then I got home, and my mom was annoyed at me cause I hadn't emptied the dishwasher yet (she told me about it yesterday, but today she said she told me four days ago) and it's like, I'd been gone literally all day, and as soon as I come home, she's annoyed at me for not having done something that was physically impossible for me to do. Let alone the fact that I've beeni n the middle of an anxiety attack this pas tweek. She just doesn't care. Just grown up around people who don't care.

Pray, pray, pray always helps me when that happens. I'm continually reminded that behind every face there is a story, ones that are more like ours than we think. There are friends that God wants you to find, but you may have to fight to find them. God promises it will be good, not that it will be easy. But we're here for you when the going gets tough, and so is God.

Aedin I was supposed to message you last night after a thought popped into my head that I think was totally meant for you. While I'm hoping it pops back into my head I'll pry have to listen to Relient K till the thought comes back...

My numbers in a personal message - text away. If I don't respond I'm in class, working, sleeping, eating or longboarding.

PS. One thing I've learned, is sometimes we have to high of an expectation of our friends. If we're looking for friends we need to take them however they come, even if there a huge pain in the butt. Heck, half the time I think I'm more of a pain in the butt then them. So if someone doesn't want to hear your problems etc and you think that makes them a bad friend, don't stop talking to them. They might suck at that area of being a friend and rock at another. Sometimes just hanging in their with a sucky friend is a reward in its own. (Unless there just a huge negativity and make you turn positivity into negativity ^^).

I've been meaning to try to p.m. you. You seem to have a lot going on.

First of all, if you keep thinking so negatively all the time than your never going to get anywhere with your anxiety problems.

I found , as I said in one of your other posts, that art helped me with my anxiety.
Have you ever considered or have a hobby?
Some way to just let all of those negative vibes out ya know?

Also, some people just aren't very social. But, you can overcome that problem as well. It may take time but, if you try to socialize a little more (whether it be online or not) you'll find yourself not so stressed around others.

Do you have a journal? Writing down how you feel also might help. I will be praying for you. God Bless.
