Heads up, I don't go on this site much these days...

mine's not anime, but it is Christmas-related. IT's a nativity set.

Like Roy (and Rock as well, if I recall), I was a bit ahead of you all (put mine up on Dec. 1st). But better late then never, I suppose? :D

I have no idea what character is in my Christmas avvie. But I thought it was cute, so I'm using it. XD;

I had to go Caveman style with the ClipArt and MSPaint. So it looks kinda sloppy, but it's there. Best I can do for now, at least.

Your avatar is adorable, I love it. And I don't usually use the word adorable either.

I saw this thread and was like "Oh no, I need one, and I've been wanting a Soul Eater one, so I'll combine the two into one". I'm usually not one to put a girl as my avatar, but at least it has Soul in it.

Really, no one knows who it is in the avy. It was on an anime icon website and it was a drawing that someone did.

It could be Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War.

I've decided to go with a julnisse. Gotta keep the Scandinavian theme going.

Incidentally, this is my first change in av on CAA, ever.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Some people are probably wondering about mine...well, I'm a huge fan of those random videos on the Japanese website Nico Nico Douga. So, I found one that poked fun at the Minami-ke Christmas episode, and turns out, Santa was Donald McDonald (he's not called Ronald in Japan).

Something like a tomte?
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

More or less. In older Dane and Norwegian traditions a "Nisse" is sometimes called a Tomte, and I think the folklore is essentially the same. But in more modern time, the Julnisse is a mischievous elf that shows up on Christmas, essentially trick-or-treating (you have to put out rice pudding for him before bed on Christmas Eve or he'll play pranks on you) and somewhere along the way, he started doing Santa's job for the kids.

I finally found a suitable Hinamori avatar. Yeah, it's not Christmasy, but she looks cold. And where I'm from, that's a good indication that it's Christmas time.

It required a bit of editing. Perhaps I should add a hat? It probably wouldn't look right, though.

That's ridiculous...he clearly became "Gandalf the Red" by gaining a few levels or casting a spell of some kind.

Either that or Gandalf is roleplaying as "Father Christmas" from Narnia.
