One friend's husband has serious heart problems, that the doctors just discovered. Another friend has swine flu. An online acquaintance is battling cancer for the third time.
As for myself, I am fighting an old, familiar demon. It's tough to keep the evil one at bay, tough to believe in love, that I am capable of it and am worthy of receiving it. I lash out in pain and fear and harm myself and others.
