I'm begging for prayers for millions: Don't ignore!

Pray for us, please I beg you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_BLXyzoFdw&feature=related

First and foremost, I thank God because I'm alive. I survived after being stranded by the riverside road for 8 hours, standing up, with no food or water, cold as I was being continually pelted by the rain along with thousands in that area. But I was more fortunate; all of my loved ones made it back home.

But right now, there were still families who are stranded on the roofs of their houses, 3 days without food, water or medicine. Some have children with them. Millions are cold right now, without dry clothes. Those who are sick has no access to medicine. There are a lot of people right now crowded in public schools and stadium with no home to return to, looking for their loved ones and sending cries in the radio and TV station.

This incident should not be ignored. We take for granted our comfortable homes, out water, our electricity- we can't even live one day without the internet. But at one instance, all of these are taken away from millions of people- both poor and rich. But the greatest toll are the human lives lost.

I'm literally begging for prayers. I wasn't very emotional with these kind of situations but now that I have experience a little of it I can't help but be emotional. People are suffering out there, crying for help. They need YOUR HELP. SO PRAY.

If possible, donations are very much needed... BUT PRAYERS ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT

Thank you...

This thread should probably be merged with Typhoon Ondoy.

Not everyone is lucky like myself, who only got knee-deep water in the house. However, the thread starter's proof that there's a lot of action to be done to help those who lost practically everything. To the thread starter, I'll be praying for you, since that's the only thing I could do for you and I am but too broke and busy to give to charitable outfits and participate in volunteer stuff.

And oh, please pray for my relatives too who suffered losses in the flood as well.

I will, I promise. And now I also request prayers for the relief operations. People are chaotic and clamoring for food. Some break your heart, some give you joy when you hand them the food, some makes you angry for complaining.

But the sad thing is...many areas are still unreachable and people there are starving and suffering dehydration. And we haven't even recovered yet but another typhoon as strong as Katrina is coming...

Where can I donate?

Do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise—
why destroy yourself?

Do not be overwicked, and do not be a fool—
why die before your time?

It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other.
The man who fears God will avoid all extremes.

Thank God the huge storm missed its track! Praise God because we were allowed to recover.

Thank you so much for the concern, but I'm not quite sure about foreign donations but I think its in here in the bottom part of the page: http://www.verafiles.org/index.php/focus/351-one-stop-shop-processing-for-foreign-donations-for-ondoy-victims. It's in the 2nd page...

Oh thanks for the prayers, thanks for all who prayed :D

I've seen this on the news and it's terrible that all this has happened. I know a similar situation happened last year in the Texas area with a hurricane. So many houses damaged and people who needed food and shelter. I wish I could have done something to help. But prayer is always the best thing to do when you're in need. Jesus will see it through. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost! God bless you and everyone in your area!
