I don't know much about it myself.

According to a short synopsis that I read, it is based on a Marvel comic book character, who, when his family is killed turns into a vigilante and goes around shooting up criminals and the like with big guns.

It is rated R so its going to have a whole lot of violence and other stuff it that would not be put in the Spider-Man movies. I myself am waiting for it to come out more than the Punisher.

I've seen 2 trailers for it an it looks pretty intense. Good, but intense. I know for sure we have one Punisher fanboy on these forums...I'll be interesting to see how many more are lurking here. *winks at someone in particular* I will definately be going to see it when it comes out in April.

Oh, and as far as songs go..the new Seether + Amy Lee one, "Broken" is pretty darn good IMO.

Haven't seen the trailers, but hopefully it'll be better than the one with Dolph Lundgren.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

the punisher was one of my favorite marvel caracters, just because he was like the clint eastwood of superheros. i probably will go see the movie unless i hear its too violent. its nice to see he has the shirt again unlike the last punisher movie

I have loved the Punisher since I was little (yes Ash was talking about me) Still have the toy I had when i was a youngen. I love the entire idea of a comic where the guy has no mega powers...just uses his head and the large guns he can find. The soundtrack is amazing...best soundtrack since Res evil and Daredevil. Everything I have seen has looked amazing, and looks to be a very moving film...I read that they wanted to show Frank Castles human side a bit more then they did in the old Punisher movie...less of a blow everything up vengance flick...more of a why did he do it sort of thing....anyway I plan on seeing it as soon as work permits. Oh and those who shy away from violence, it got the r rating for language, brief nudity, and "brutal violence".

I have seen the trailers, and the movie looks like it will be pretty good. Unless it gets terrible review, I will go see it as soon as I can (which is May 8th, since I don't have my car with me at college :eyeroll: ). The Punisher concept is intriguing, and the movie appears to have a cast that is capable of making a good movie together.

This new Punisher movie looks decent, but I hate it when films change stuff from the comics. In the comics, Frank Castle was an ex-Marine. In the movie, he'll be an FBI agent. In the comics, he operates in New York City (the comic usually had a very gritty, urban feel to it). In the movie, he operates in sunny Miami (Miami??).

The character works fine just as he was written in the comics. Unnecessary changes are just annoying.

d00d have you ever seen inner city miami? my uncle is a pastor there and man its a heck of alot different than south beach, he sleeps with a loaded shotgun under his bed because his neighbors are drug dealers. yah so dont assume just because miami is tropical means its all a paradise. plus u just kinda gotta expect them to change things from the comics, if you let it get to you then you will never be able to just enjoy any of the great movies spawned by them.

Just got back from the theater, It was pretty good. It was much different then i thought it would be. It wasn't a run and gun movie. Had some very dark humor, One very brief nude scene with a pair of topless women. That wasn't nessesary, but you could blink and miss it. All in all it was a good movie, It had Kevin Nash (big daddy cool, Diesil from wrestleing)his scene was my favorite. all in all, they did good picking people for the roles , and if i rated it on 1-10 it would be a 6.5 , 5 being an average movie.

Saw it too tonight....(what a coincidence lol) Loved it....I agree with Lightbringer on the role picking...everyone did well....I feel that the film stays true to the comics, and if your a Punisher fan you will enjoy this movie. It might seem a bit slow in parts to people who are not big fans and fans alike I guess...though I rather enjoyed the slow parts between action...it was very well balanced.
